I don't think anyone here thinks Meals On Wheels is terrible, its just that a lot of "government programs" should be privately funded like 90% of that program is already.

If everyone did their part, they wouldn't be forced to pay the government (whether federal, state or local) so they can do lord knows what with our money (like fraudulently putting it in their own pockets). Do people really think with each tax hike and all the other nomenclatures they call taxes today, that it is really going to help the American People??? If you believe this, I've a waterfront property to sell you in Vegas.

Aren't you the one who believes that the media in not reporting that there were like 9k arrests foe sex trafficking when in fact it was 99% regular prostitution arrests.

Is that the kind of money you mean that the government is blowing?

Default meals on wheels should be a public program

I prefer the concept of "public" supported programs. --- All of us, in the same boat together. I'd rather we not rely on "private" sector programs. Or, some of us in different boats. There's room for private sector charity, for sure. But I prefer that a strong public sector exist. The big deficiency about the public sector isn't the concept of "public" sector, it's the values and priorities of those who make up the public and direct the public sector. I think the founders and wise people had and have a good idea about the value of the public sector, even at the numerous and different public sector levels. There has been an erosion of public spiritedness. I feel that's the biggest problem facing our desire for good government and a responsive, responsible public sector. The "public" has lost its sense of common good and common sense, and we've also confused what are the critical ingredients of what is necessary for a livable, life-sustaining environment and an acceptable quality of life. We've become self-indulgent and self-important. It's easy to slip into this mindset, especially with clever, disingenuous and disrespectful individuals at the helm of so many components of our lives.

If everyone pulled an identical oar just like everyone else, ...

.... and as often as everyone else ...

.... you might have a point!

But that's not reality.

And we ain't in the "same boat"!

Default the same boat, explained

Being in the same boat, as I have expressed it here, is not so confining, as you seem to interpret it. What I mean to say is that it's time we emphasize healthy, common interests, like justice, clean air, clean water, and the freedom to choose what and how we worship (if such a choice doesn't harm others). That's the important stuff. Not the little, petty stuff the manipulative class tells us to worry about.

I'm referring to sustaining a genuine civilization. I'm referring to an approach that prioritizes heath and life.

I'm not hearing any of that from the present president. Didn't hear much of it from Bill Clinton, either.

Yup, your right, the government does want us all in the same boat BROKE AND DEPENDENT. Well I for one luv my independence and prefer to keep government out of my business as much as possible. I recognize you're young but hear this, whenever someone gives you something/money they own your behind. and don't get me wrong I believe in giving, I give just about every week by donating my time twice a week to a local soup kitchen. It does the body and mind good, you actually get more in return from being of a solicitous nature than you do in taking and I do believe as a Libertarian that when a society gives more than it takes it is a much better society.

Well, it's obvious you haven't spent any quality time in a "boat"!

But liberal whiners like you prefer to "re-invent" words, like you prefer to "re-invent" history! BTW: Those days are over! You also slip in that "wise people" bullshit you are smarter (wiser) than others! That's why Gruber is still laughing at you and your ilk.

Well I am a registered Libertarian (used to attend our monthly meetings in Lake Worth Florida) but have moved away from the Party for the two reasons that put the Homeland/Motherland in a very precarious position. Number one is wanting to reduce our Military and our security, which could be the analogy of not having locks on your doors, number two is they want open borders analogous to just letting everyone into your home without being identified, you will no longer have/own a home, it will become theirs. If you think that is BS let me tell you what was once my tale of woe. I had a rental property once that I was doing battle with the town about certain issues, had a squatter move in, turned on the electricity and bam, I was the one stuck for 6 months in trying to get them out, costs were in the thousands. This is what will happen to our nation should we allow everyone to come in and not assimilate, they will overrun us and soon their will be no America or at least not the America we now know and love.

It's so ironic that you made that statement when you are a hooker who pays no taxes- do you really hear yourself talking? You are the biggest hypocrite - you benefit from tax free money from your illegal profession and you are asking people to pay their fair share? What did the pot call the kettle?

Do you really believe that anyone thinks a hooker like yourself does charity work? What the fuck is your problem? The words hooker and charity can't possibly co-exist Next you will be telling us how you helped out a homeless man who hadn't got laid and you gave him a free session. Please post one pic from one of your "soup kitchens" and I will go away.

Hookers don't do charity work- your claim is as absurd as if PIMP were to tell someone that they attend church every Sunday and donate the money from what they steal from hookers and give it to the poor- you are really off your rocker.
