Season 1 definitely set the bar pretty high, so I'll settle for it being just as good. And I'm sure it'll be fantastic, especially with Mahershala Ali taking the lead. Season 2's biggest undoing was the excessive subplots; it got hard to keep track of what was going on after a few episodes. I did like Vince Vaughn stepping out of his comfort zone for a more serious role, even if it did fall flat at times.

What did we think about the finale of AHS: Apocalypse last week?
I liked it pretty well. They wrapped it up better than I thought they would given how much was left to explain after the penultimate episode. I did think the part at the end was a bit much (trying not to give too much away in case anyone hasn't seen it) and it would have been better to end it before the flash forward.

I’m finding Van Helsing on Netflix to be surprisingly good. But of a new take on a tired genre.

Just finished it and I felt there should have been 1 or 2 more episodes. Was a good finale but felt a bit rushed. Loved Jessica Lange and Angela Bassett’s brief, but epic cameo. I think it’s safe to say there will be a AHS: Apocalypse part II?

Yeah, I agree. It was a bit rushed and could have benefited from a bit longer season.

So that mid-season finale Walking Dead episode...
Epic final 10 mins and I don’t think anyone expected that one character to die.

Finally watching Narcos, and am enjoying the hell out of it. I'm a sucker for thrillers, history, and a true crime, and this show rolls all three into a fantastic series.

I love the theme song! Fits the show’s vibe perfectly. Are you starting on Narcos from the Pablo Escobar era, or the new one set in Mexico?

Nice! A slow burner at first, but the last 2 episodes kicks off and sets the tone for the rest of the show

It is a little bit slow at first, but I really enjoy the parallel story lines of the cartel forming and the DEA trying to track and rein in the cartel. And Murphy's narration is on point! My only complaint (and it's really a small one) is that half the dialogue is in Spanish, so you have to pay attention to follow the story.

Started watching The Punisher season 2. So damn good! Lots of great action and character development. Also, Jon Bernthal is probably the best portrayal of Frank Castle and no one else should be allowed to play him.

True detective seems pretty good after 2 shows.
Project Blue Book is pretty whacked.
