Of course, if you're not paying taxes in the first place, it won't matter whether there is a "tax cut" or not. No skin off your ass!
" not paying taxes in the first place..." Ya mean like assup with all of HIS Gloryhole locations, including the " satellite branch " he has EKIM The WELSHER / bamscram running for him in the KansASS " mountains " ?

Creating deficits is completely opposite of what a conservative government philosophy is.

Republicans are no longer conservative. They are just greedy lobbiest cock holsters.

Now when people talk about trmiming fat around military spending, they are talking about the out of control F35 program. We don't need to close bases or reduce the number of boots, necessarily. We need to look at all those government defense contracts.

Reigning in those would reduce spending significantly without affect troop readiness or safety.
actually, we do need to close overseas bases. we have too many and they do take up a good chunk of the military budget.

I agree. We have what, 5 naval bases in Japan (mainland) alone, over a dozen bases on Okinawa, 2 in Guam, AND the one in SK? how many do we need in the Pacific?

Not taking into account the what, 40+ bases of ALL branches in Europe (not inc England)..

Basically Kansas cut taxes...saw a huge deficit increase. Shocker there.

Raised taxes , deficit starts back down. Shocker there.

Do you not understand a fucking thing about the Lauffer Curve?

If the tax rate is already low...cutting taxes further does not increase tax revenue. Just as if they are already too high , raising them will not increase revenue.

Kansas, by law, can't have deficits. The restricted tax revenues was intended(and it worked) to limit the effect of government on civility, and encourage business to move to Kansas. Again, it worked. A bunch of parasites complained incessantly that they weren't getting their "fair share", and the national media(leftist in total) were scared that the "limiting government through reduced revenue" tactic would work.

Kansas has never been, and is not, in fiscal trouble. That was hysteria manufactured by parasites.

Parasites got their way, and are now spending more money. wo hoo. Any reasonably person who has actually looked at the facts would come to the conclusion that the restricted revenue tactic worked very well, and that Kansas weathered an economic storm astoundingly well, and if spending had been at the absurd level that it was at the start of the tax restricting tactic, it would have been fucked, and not in a good way.

Fascist will want to ensure that you don't look at the facts, but the propaganda generated daily by huffpost and cnn, who have almost no representation in Kansas, and have no context of how the state is run.

The leftwing fascist bigoted thugs on here are truly representing their organization well. Kudo's

I can see some justification for bases in Asia.

Not so much for Europe. there used to be a lot of bases in Europe, but they closed alot of them tho.
the United States still maintains nearly 800 military bases in more than 70 countries and territories abroad.

after I looked this up, I'm shocked!!! I thought we had 200 - 300 overseas bases.

compared to britain, france & russia, total combined, they have 30 bases.

no wonder the defense budget is so big.

Oh, that is a serious burn from a googlite(one who only reads headlines from google searchs to make conclusions).

I would point out that your powers of deduction are self evident.

yes and military spending is the cause.

You do realize that SS and Medicare have had a surplus. Which means we have not paid for our military spending.

Maybe we should have a dedicated tax for military spending like we do for SS and Medicare.

Once the American knows the true cost of the military .... next , when the GOP starts talking cuts to SS and Medicare, see how fast Democrats get elected!
