Everything was cooked on my Traeger Hog smoker! We wrapped the asparagus in bacon, with butter & garlic and then foil! Was amazing.
Poor guy has seen better days. Need to get him sandblasted and refinished. If anyone knows a place in NWA that can do it in a red high-temp powder coat, let me know, please!

I'm discovering that a few vegetables that I hated as a kid (asparagus and Brussels sprouts, for example) are actually quite fine roasted, rather than having the shit boiled out of them (which is the way My Sainted Mother cooked them)
I've usually just roasted my asparagus with olive oil and an aggressive seasoning of salt and pepper. I'm going to have to try the garlic and ending shot with Parmesan cheesh next time I can get some really fresh asparagus from the farmer's market.

@ginger--I'm gonna have to throw down in your kitchen next time and cook a mean Italian dish. I'll cook Gnocchi with Alfredo sauce. We can eat it after I kick your ass in chess. ;-)
