This isn’t the Colosseum, it’s just the Senate. You pick your best lawyers to present your case. Not that hard. And , according to Western Law since the Magna Carta, it’s the ACCUSED that deserves a fair trial. Not the ACCUSERS. Pelosi simply won’t get to write the rules of the Senate. It was a metaphor, not an equivalence. The point is nobody knows who the best lawyer is. A condemnatory prosecutor like Schiff? Or a proponent of the Constitution like Jamie Raskin?

If the majority of the House sees a fair trial, they fight like a prosecuror. If they see an unfair trial, you appeal to the overall rule of law. Fight like Hell that the case is just or unjust.
