ICU's posting in another thread that Bolton may have sold classified info to foreign powers. I'm skeptical. But if he's right, then yes, I've been full of shit. I suspect the raid on Bolton was actually the Trump administration using the deep state to try to intimidate a critic. And a misuse of taxpayer dollars. This investigation will probably cost millions.
The raid on Mar a Lago, which was coordinated with the Secret Service, was justified based on what the FBI found. What was not justified were the 37 felony charges against Trump, which could have resulted in up to 400 years in prison if the terms were served consecutively instead of concurrently. Under sentencing guidelines Trump would have received 12 to 20 years. That's ridiculous for a victimless crime. Yeah, he should have gotten his wrist slapped. But no prison sentence unless it were very short term and served with an ankle bracelet at Mar a Lago.
Please feel free to describe your special knowledge of the situations. I don't have any. And while you're at it, do you believe there should be one set of laws for Donald Trump and another for everyone else? I think you do. And so do New York Democrats.
