For horror I still love the original Alien- there is a lot of subtextual sexual references throughout and the art direction is amazing. Way ahead of its time.

Default Sayonara

This is one of my favorite classics. Starred Marlon Brando as a GI in love with a beautiful Japanese girl.

I have a thing for beautiful Japanese girls

Great movies all (except "Once upon a time).

I'm surprised no one has mentioned "Papillon" yet. It was one of Steve McQueen's best, throw in Dustin Hoffman and you have a classic.

If you get a chance watch "The Sadist" a B movie that maintains a level of intensity and creepyness that Hitchcock would envy.

Godfather, all of them. Lost in Translation. The Big Lebowski.

Blood Simple (the Coen Brothers' first move, made on a budget of $40,000) is classic.
