Doesn't matter if he promised her the moon and stars... SB/SD is a very grey area legally and some actions would be considered flat out illegal. A contract (verbal or written) for an illegal act is not enforceable. As long as he made no threats himself-- she is the only one exposed from a legal standpoint. Now-- that doesn't mean she won't go ahead and tell the wife.... but she has already opened herself up to a legal issue at this point.

I had a similar situation. I saw a girl from high school at our reunion. My wife and I were separated so I asked her out. Very hot lady, romance ensued, very crazy, as I soon found out. That's one of the oldest tricks in the book. Chicks have been pulling the "need money for abortion" hustle for ages and not just the "side chicks". Just demand that she take a pregnancy test in your presence. If she refuses you know you're being hustled.
