I’m pretty bored with burgers, dogs, chops and steaks. What other simple to prepare, delicious meals are good for grilling.

I’ve taken to boiling potatoes, letting them cool, then quartering and grilling to crispy yummyness after tossing in a big ziplock with oil and spices. They’ve been quite a hit at home, kind of a yuge French fry potato skin hybrid.

Beef, Chicken, Pork, Lamb or perhaps some type of Shrimp or Lobster kebabs. Easy prep, easy cook. Tons of options as far as marinades or Sauces.

Grilled pork lollipops

Potato bombs wrapped in bacon.

Tacos are great on the grill

Consider some pizzas or flatbreads.

Corn on the grill or even corn ribs. Mop them with butter, garlic, lime juice, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, chili flake, cilantro... whatever spice mix you want really

No I just wing it. 4 minutes each side for a 1” thick steak works pretty good.

Sounds right for med rare. Thicker cuts need a temp probe. Cook for internal temp, not time.

I have a Thermapen. Bought it at Rolliers years ago.

I have an Igrill too. If you want to get fancy. Rolliers has them

I’m quite sure J isn’t worried about “budget” when it comes to meat thermometers. He can afford quality.

He can buy whatever he wants, Bam. Whether his budget is "unlimited" or $5.

Link's not just for him.

For every one of us that's buying Porter Road or Snake River farms, there's folks making tasty BBQ on a limited budget and a thin-walle d smoker from Home Depot.

You learned on a Weber, right? So clearly there's room for everybody at the BBQ table.

Of course. But Webers are quality. Always have been. Mine’s still great after ten yrs. I didn’t go cheap. I bought a master touch which was their top of the line at the time. I didn’t know shit about “Q” then.

Webers are reasonable quality cookers/smokers either at the top of low-tier or bottom of mid-tier.

Can get some great BBQ from them and most of their models are good entry points for learning the basics without breaking the bank.

Same for the Traeger
