I admit I have not read all of the replies in this thread so my bad if this has been mentioned, but I'm surprised by Vance's lackadaisical response. Maybe nobody told him he has a brown wife and brown kids. What does he think those adult Republican "kids" would say about his loved ones if they came up in conversation and would he take their racist words more seriously if they did? I'm not sure how you can minimize those texts as a bunch of bad jokes by "kids".

Edit for EB below: Well, Mr. Vance's political ambitions certainly do appear to be his number one priority after listening to his dismissive gibberish. I always thought that motherfucker was a snake, but I thought he at least was man enough to be a family first guy.

As I said, I’d at least respect y’all if you just came out and admitted you are racists. It’s the whole being racist and denying it that causes the issues. I can deal with a racist just fine, I know what you’re about and I work with you accordingly. Been doing for nearly 30 years of being a lawyer. It’s those folks that try to hide their racism that are most irritating.

Sapper and Ho - racists to their core and proud. Fine. Doesn’t affect my life one iota. Waco - wants to claim he’s not a racist though it’s clear he is. Fine. Again doesn’t change my life one iota. And we know he is a racist because he without any basis claims I’m a racist - it’s the weakest deflection ever but he’s slow so he’ll keep using it. Nothing any of you say has any bearing on me. I go to work everyday with a smile because even though my partners for the most part are partisan republicans and some are even a little racist, I sit at my desk, dole out orders, write a letter or two, take a few calls and meetings, and bill some client between 475 and 650 an hour, making my partners and me tons of money year after year.

And poor Tiny. He so wants there to be no racism he'll excuse it when it's clearly in his face. Why, I suspect because it'd shatter his whole world view if he had to accept that there's a growing element within the "youth" of his race and favorite political party that are simply racist.

Still trying to project YOUR racism onto others. Just sad. These people were indeed punished. They lost their jobs. And YOUR side has not distanced themselves from that moron in Virginia who wished death on a Republican, his wife, and children. You just refuse to accept reality.
