Let's talk plain English.
In defending the reckless, irresponsible, fraud-ridden Biden CHNV parole program in post #51 you assured us - not to worry, it was just a temporary guest-worker program, that was the "sole intent", and there is no direct path for these temporary guest workers to stay in this country permanently or seek US citizenship.
Was that a true & honest representation or assurance?
Or are you now going to play Lucy with the football and say "Surprise! I didn't say we wouldn't help them seek an indirect path once they're here"!
That's sleazy and underhanded and deliberately deceitful - and you know it.
Pulling stunts like that is the reason our immigration system is broken.

True, honest, factual and correct. I'm good like that.
I provided you with facts eviscerating your poor argument, not a defense of the program.
I also didn't help "them" do anything, Lusty. If you want to use plain English, use it correctly. If you want to drop fallacies and rhetorical traps, play somewhere else.
I also am not responsible for your ignorance on things or what you feel is sleazy because you don't know what words mean or what the rules are. If you want to have learned debate, go grind the XP from the reading sidequests and level up a bit.
This sure has been fun, though

I changed "I" to "we". That can include you or not, you decide.

Are you responsible for being deliberately deceitful and misleading?
Why did you use those terms - "sole intent" and "no direct path" - if you were NOT trying to lull people into thinking the program was ok since it wouldn't allow migrants to remain here permanently once their two-year TPS expired?

No. My words were candid, forthright and accurate. They're also germane to the topic and common parlance of the subject. If I hadn't used direct, that would have been disingenuous.
I do find the attempt to reframe, adorable. It tells me you don't have an argument on the facts, the substance, the stats or the law. So now you're trying to argue that you were deceived, however, that's entirely a YOU problem.
If you even understood the program you would point out the reauthorization provision and look at the timeline. Which was part of the law. I can argue your position better than you can because I have

Thanks for the laugh! If you look in the mirror, your face is very crooked.

Not at all.
The fact that you were being deliberately deceitful doesn't mean I or anyone else was fooled. Which should tell you that you're not even very good at deceit.
You evidently missed what I said in post #74:

Cute, but irrelevant my padawan
Hey, what happened to Somalia? You just kind of left that one to die while you put all this energy into Venezuela despite the CHNV program itself including 3 other countries that got the same treatment... undercutting that claim that Venezuela was the preference. (Check how many Haitians were admitted vs Venezuelans, btw)
I've been waiting for you to pick up that fumble as you walked into the ad hominem trap, but I haven't forgotten.
You also haven't addressed that pesky question about where between 0% and 20% the illegal pop is.

Ask jayzee. He just visited Somalia and determined they have zero corruption. He informed Ilhan Omar of his "perception". She was so excited that she plans to move back there.
Hopefully, jayzee will share his finding with the rest of the Somali community in the US, and they'll all return en masse to their clean, prosperous, functional & uncorruptible mother country.

Asking you about your claim, not the corruption drivel. You said they were preferred by Biden and then offered nothing compelling or convincing after I reminded you about 1991.
Same with Venezuela. Meanwhile you have almost twice the volume of Haitians use CHNV vs Venezuelans.
There's also something from Oct 2024 you missed that you might want to consider

We're talking about an illegal immigration scheme foisted on the country by Biden/Harris/Mayorkas. They didn't ask Congress to change the immigration laws because they knew they'd be laughed out of the chambers - huh? you want to let anyone from 4 shithole countries fly in using an online app and a phony "sponsor"? Are you fucking nuts?
So they just went ahead and did it anyway. Of course, they tried to hide it because they knew they had no authority under existing immigration law. But when hundreds of thousands of migrants started overwhelming small towns throughout the heartland, usually without any advance notice or assistance from Biden/Harris/Mayorkas, word got out quickly.

If that tripe was the answer, I accept it as your concession. Looking forward to your editorial in the Journal. Please be sure to revise it, though. It's light on facts to support your conclusions and it certainly didn't win this argument
They used a similar framework as U4U, which is still in place. You might want to write a letter to your congressmen about that.

Call it "tripe" and "light on facts"? That's all you got?
That tells me you can't refute the FACT that CHNV and other immigration parole programs created by Biden/Harris were unlawful and unauthorized under existing immigration law. In other words, they were a gross abuse of statutory authority.
Thanks for conceding.

Reflective of the low quality argument you raised. You haven't personally cited any ruling challenging it or a cogent, compelling case showing the lack of authority. Mostly just your feels and other people's words. Lots of generalization and vitriol, though.
Start with 8 U.S.C. § 1182(d)(5)(A). Focus on admissibility. Read that part carefully and understand the words and what they mean instead your feels and what you think they mean.
Maybe cite a ruling from Nov 2024 that came out of a federal district court in TX.
Maybe touch on this

Parolees without a lawful basis to remain in the United States following this termination of the CHNV parole programs must depart the United States before their parole termination date.

Ooh, can a parolee change to another lawful basis and remain if they're able? How sleazy. I can't believe the Trump admin allowed that.

The options were known. Helps with the timeline you ignored and a plethora of things you glossed over, missed and misunderstood
Crib a little from here

You didn't even address U4U, which means I know you're not making a serious argument.
I won. It's ok to admit it. Doubling back to circle the wagons doesn't get you a do-over. That's the classic MAGAdonian logic of trying to argue that thing you lost after you lost it and hoping that someone will come save you so you can rewrite history.
Not on my watch, Lusty
