Ok, so I am late, but think this is a very worthy topic.

Sarge and EW have very valid points that it is not required to give a vouch, however what if the providers claim they give great refs, but then don't? That is what bothers me the most. Don't tell the other ladies and the gents that you give references, when you actually don't. If you don't, say you don't and then its known not to ask. No harm no foul. But to lie about it to make yourself look like a team player when in reality your "backdoor" (pun intended) wastes everyone's time and energy. I can count on one hand the number of good references I have gotten from this board. The ones that blew me off were so called "well known" providers who claim in public here to give excellent refs. The providers that responded were UTR or new.

For some yes, this is a cut throat business, but for those that it isn't, why not just be honest about it and let the chips fall? Isn't there enough to go around?

The problem I have sometimes when a gal asks me for a reference, is that they seem to be so worried about someone stealing their appt chance, they don't offer me enough info to 'connect the dots' and give an answer. *** To only offer a first name or handle, is very hard to recall. It is much better if: there is a time-frame of how long ago the mtg occurred or where we met, plus the name/handle, and maybe an email or part of phone number to match up with what I can recall.

I always do my best to answer reference requests from any and all ladies, even before I take calls/PM/emails for my own appts. That said, if I am "off" for a day or few days, there may be a bit of a delay, but I will respond as soon as possible. Ladies: you can txt me for quick reply and ask me to call you.

I would never, ever "steal" an appt or "cock block" why? there is enough for everyone!! *(smile)*

I want to start off by apologizing to Maxeen for not responding to you in a more timely manner.

I was driving home when I recieved the pm and decided to get back to you as soon as I got home and could find some "private time" to do so. Unfortunately due to personal obligations I was not able to.

As far as the conversation between the gentleman and I. I never pressured him into seeing me. He however made a comment to me about him thinking I had moved away for good. So I informed him that I come back into town once a week to play. I will admit that I asked him if he wanted to see me. What he did next with his decision is out of my hands.

I ultimately called to ask him which lady he wanted to see since I recieved more than one request for him. My window to get on and send out refrences and to be active on the board is very limited, so I wanted to minimize the time of getting on the board. I also even asked him to send the lady of his choice my provider number so she could text me. We then got off topic and the conversation went a different direction.

I do however apologize to Maxeen and any other lady that I offended by not getting back with them ASAP. As many of you can admit that getting online to do hobby related things can only be done in limited time window.....stupid windows!!! They are only good for role playing.

I have always been willing to help with screening and will remain to do so. I am just asking for atleast 48 hours to do so since I am not able to check pm/text or emails freely like I was once able to do.

I also want to add that I have never been affiliated with Mint; I have always been an Independent Provider. I was however once listed on Risque but last I checked my profile had been deleted.

Again, Maxeen I truley am sorry for not responding to you sooner and I will not try and jusitfy it. I will make sure that I try my hardest to be available to any ladies to assist them when needed for refrence checks. I am a firm believer that we ladies need to work together to make the hobby safe for all ladies involved.

This is very clearly a different version of events than what I am told. But, anywhooo.

If the situation occurred as is explained here, then I completely understand and see no wrong in it.

He was not trying to complain as much as he was letting me know he has issues getting you to respond to his ref requests. Even though I believe I was patient, I still received nothing back. Still haven't. The rest came out in convo.

As far as not responding ASAP, no apology needed. I understand that if I need a request from you I can expect a delay. Thanks for the heads up, I will keep it in mind.

Aside from all of this, I wish you luck in all you have going on. Hope everything goes well for you.

Max............calling one out without being fully informed IMHO is not the way to go. Hopefully in the future you will find it within yourself to at lease contact the person you have an issue with. See if the party(ies) can resolve the problem (if one truly exist).
