depends on the wording of the law and or who the insurance company is.

in the case of a insurance company being told they must at no charge

yes hand out

and is one way of ramming single payer.

Ok, and since Sandra Fluke was in no way testifying that it should be at no charge, she clearly was not asking for a handout. So we agree on that much, at least.

Be sure to notify Montana.

And no, her acknowledgement of the compromise to allay the concerns of religious institutions doesn't mean she cared one way or the other.

But at no charge is what is being pushed. And she knows that. And even if they could charge for that service. They should not be told they have to offer it.

But then I do not think there should be a seat belt or helmet law.

I prefer freedom at the risk of .........

to cover same sex partner should also be up to the giver and seller. If a employer or the carrier does not want to go there. so be it.

for a working man/woman under employer health care. there is no law that says they have to cover wife/hubby.

Getting back on topic, here is an insightful report from a Canadian vantage point.

Oops! I missed that. I have changed the link from the one you quoted to another excellent report by, of all people, Forbes.

At least I pointed this out earlier in Post #70:

Miss me Doovie???? Can’t believe I missed another shot at the Chloe/Desiree duo. Got the invite. Damn. I still remember the last one.

To answer your yes or no handout question, there are lobbyists that move states and the federal government to include or exclude certain regulations. On this thought, that there should be term limits and legislators should be doing what the public wants, I really hope we can agree. Not listening to the people is what happens far too often. But there are smart car health care plans and BMW plans that offer such differences but those differences are paid for and chosen. My answer to you is a wishy washy yes and no answer. You need to let the medical field help to determine necessary/choice coverages and give people options. If you have someting someone else does not have it may be looked upon as a handout but it's paid for. Look at the Buffalo teachers and grief they took for the Plastic surgery rider they have. My plan covers this too. Now if you think it's a handout well it's something we have in our plan that has to be paid for. Not really a hand out. A choice option. And let me add the ladies know how I have used it. I truely believe medical coverage is not a right to have whatever you want but what is fiscally necessary. There are so many things we use that where is it the line is drawn. With 90% of policies covering birth control, why are they trying to mandate a Jesuit college or anyplace else to provide this coverage or the day after pill or pay for abortions.

I respect people who stick with their convictions and principals. We may disagree on many issues and not see eye to eye on Miss Fluke’s intentions, but she is changing her story about not talking about herself but was rather talking about the poor and needy. I reread her testimony and she started making it about her and her fellow law student friends. I don’t really care but it amazes me how little this gets reported.

The tide is turning Jack. You are seeing more commentary on Bill Maher and his comments, Obama's selective moral outrage and Miss Fluke's real intention turning women back to the right side.

And it amazes me that it amazes you that the press didn't make a huge deal out of the fact that someone who goes to law school uses anecdotal evidence involving people she knows from law school.

You can pretty much rationalize anything. Your comments are proof of that.

I will be more than happy to give the Republicans a chance to show how they can unite the country. Unfortunately they seem to be trying very hard to demonstrate their talents to be divisive - even within their own party!
