Trump is...a not so good builder
Josh Fisher, director of the White House Office of Administration explained it was more economical to tear down the East Wing to make room for the new ballroom than to renovate it.
OTOH...In December, Trump updated the price tag for the new ballroom to $400 million — double the original estimate.

Trump is...or rather has...no limits
Asked in a wide-ranging interview with The New York Times if there were any limits on his global powers, Mr. Trump said: “Yeah, there is one thing. My own morality. My own mind. It’s the only thing that can stop me.”
“I don’t need international law,” he added. “I’m not looking to hurt people.”
When pressed further about whether his administration needed to abide by international law, Mr. Trump said, “I do.” But he made clear he would be the arbiter when such constraints applied to the United States.
“It depends what your definition of international law is,” he said.
My own morality...what morality?

Trump is...a continuing liar and misinformer.
Last night on Hannity
“It doesn’t make sense and nobody’s been able to define why, so I think hopefully we’re gonna change that because we’ve had incredible– we passed a Great Big Beautiful Bill, tax cuts for everybody, no tax on tips, no tax on social security, no tax on overtime, deductions if you buy a car.”
First...'no tax on social security' is a flat out lie. The OBBB provides
a new temporary tax deduction for seniors 65+ starting with the 2025 tax year, offering up to $6,000 for single filers and $12,000 for married couples. The deduction can be claimed whether receiving SS or not.
Only valid from 2025 through 2028
'no tax on overtime'...there's a 'small catch' here that Trump doesn't mention
Eligible employees can deduct only the "premium" portion (the extra half in time-and-a-half pay, not the full time and a half) of their qualified overtime compensation from their federal taxable income, up to a maximum of $12,500 for single filers and $25,000 for married couples filing jointly.
'deductions if you buy a car.'...actually a deduction on new car loan interest (doesn't include preowned)...again temporary, expires in 2028.
At least the deduction includes all 'assembled in US' cars...like the Honda CRV.
'tax cuts for everybody'...well it's a nitpick, but not for the some 30% who don't owe/pay income tax. Maybe it puts more into that zero tax bracket. What income levels benefit from these 'tax cuts' is open to discussion.

Trump is ....still an inveterate liar (or is our most misinformed President)
“All you have to do is say to China ‘ How many windmill areas do you have in China?’ So far they are not able to find any,” said Trump. “They use coal and they use oil and gas and some nuclear, not much. But they don’t have windmills. They make them and sell them to suckers like Europe and suckers like the United States before.”
Not even close to correct...
China uses more wind power than almost every other nation combined. The country had an operating wind farm capacity of about 444,000 megawatts as of February 2025. That’s about 44% of the global total– nearly triple the capacity of the U.S. That number increased to almost 48% in 2024, as the installation of wind turbines in all countries excluding China dropped by 18%.
Nor is there any credible evidence Venezuela has named a street after Donald J Trump...as he claims...
Quote:

“The people of Venezuela are going wild over this. They named a street after Trump. What do you do, you attack a country in the named a street? That has never happened before,"

Trump is.....a bloviator.
Quote:
Look, whether people like Trump or don’t like Trump, I settled eight wars—big ones. Some going on for 36 years, 32 years, 31 years, 28 years, 25 years. Some just getting ready to start, like India and Pakistan. Already, eight jets were shot out of the air and I got it done in rapid order without nuclear weapons. I can’t think of anybody in history that should get the Nobel Prize more than me, and I don’t want to be bragging, but nobody else settled wars.
Obama got the Nobel Prize. He had no idea why. He still has no idea. He walks around, he says, “I got the Nobel Prize.” Why did he get a Nobel Prize? He got it almost immediately upon attaining office and he didn’t do anything, and he was a bad president. So I mean, you should get the Nobel Prize for every war you stopped. These were major wars. These were wars that nobody thought could be stopped.
President Putin called me and he said about two of the wars that he’s been trying to stop them for ten years. He wasn’t able to do it. He couldn’t believe it. So in theory, you should get the Nobel Prize for every war you stopped—every one of them was major.
