I've heard interviews with Red Cross International and Amnesty International officials that admit they 'pick' on the USA because they know they can get media attention and have some chance of govt response. If they criticize Libya, China, North Korea and so many other civil rights they'll simply be ignored or shown the door.

before I get marked as a racist - I grew up in two very small and very white cities - Los Angeles, Ca and Houston, Tx - ( (see sarcasm 101.) "Non legal immigration is an issue for all of my friends Black, White, Hispanic and Asian. It has always been the extreme minority that always sets the stereotypes. My Hispanic friends "hate" the criminal undocumented aliens that are causing the issue in the first place. If it were just people coming to our nation to find work and better themselves that is not a problem. Unfortunately hidden among these hard working non violent immigrants are the criminals and thugs that have taken over many countries south of our borders. I work in the medical field and have friends and co-workers of every possible nationality. we have had many lively debates on this topic. The bottom line is the US in being invaded by Criminals hiding among decent people. Other countries have taken steps to address the problem. Try to obtain a work Visa from Australia if you have a DUI - not gonna happen. Don't be caught in most countries without proper documentation because you will be deported after you spend some significant time in jail. If it were not for the large number of true criminals sneaking in with normal people this discussion would be moot. Going back to a comment made by Tony Montana - you shoot a Police Officer while they are performing their legal duty you win a free trip to Death Row and since you are a Citizen you might recall a Houston area Officer that was KILLED by a illegal Criminal entrant into the US. If you are not committing a crime the vast majority of Police Officers will not hassle you. The ones that do should be fired if they did so based strictly on the color of you skin or the way you look. After they are fired they should be prosecuted to the extremist measure of the law. I am not a Racist - I am a Nationalist - seal the borders and let in the non criminals .... they far outnumber the criminals and they are willing to work and contribute to our society. The Law is the Law. Violate it and pay the penalty if you are caught. Extremists have always been and will be the ones that cause the problems for the majority, whether Conservative, Liberal or Centrist. Just a little more to think about. If you want to see racism go to the lager Cities in Mexico and see how the Fair skinned Mexican Nationals treat the darker skinned members of their own Country. It is not right here or there. Sorry if I rambled but comments on both sides of this argument has just pissed me off today. Just to let you know before you flame me - my family immigrated legally to theUS in 1901 from Ireland and had to put up with discrimination for being Irish ( a Mik) and being Catholic. The more things change the more they remain the same.
