I had some peripheral involvement when ASPD was getting on its feet. I think I might have "met" the late Amber on Usenet because that's where she got the name ASPD, albeit in a misunderstood way. Or maybe a NYC board. Can't remember for sure. Anyway she knew I was involved in setting up some of the early NYC boards, and listservers before that, and some wannabe cyber-pimps from there were pressuring her to make them partners on her new board. I knew these guys and knew they were all talk, and I assured her they were bluffing, and if she remained firm and didn't give in to them they wouldn't hack into her system, they would just go away. And they did. I didn't really do much other than tell her what I knew and give her a couple pep talks. So she repelled the wannabes and the rest is history. I still wonder though if some other non-NYC board owners attacked her and I never heard about it. Some were petty wannabes as well (TBD) who would extort the competition as well as sex workers. I liked her and hated to see her pushed around.

Wow Sean....that is quite a story....and one I find very interesting. I remember when the announcement was made that Amber had passed, it was a shock and disheartening for many folks.

Yep...those were different times for sure.

Its a shame. This place could have been as good or better. Now it seems like the only point to this board is to trash others or read about it.

If people were more respectful and we all looked out for one another.......

You said it Kelly. I miss the days of ASPD. This board never really hit home with me like ASPD. If we keep trying, I'm sure someday it will.

And damnit, I saw 32 flavors at the top and thought this was a new thread at first. It was cool to see his name again.

Still always good to see/hear about/from many of the aspd crew.

Active communities in Houston, Austin and San Antonio still include many former aspd-ers.

Events still on-going in some areas, too. Tame but not lame. Save the "spice" for the after-parties.

I agree the ASPD days were awesome and it was a very close linked group of people. We all looked out for each other and made sure we had a good time while doing so.
The socials were always interesting and boy howdy I remember many times having to be carried out. It never failed by the end of the night a waitress would be pulling her top up or off so I could play with her tits. Those ladies were not shy and were always FUN!
Does anyone remember the provider that was married but her and her husband were swingers? We had a social at their house which I believe was her last night of working if I am not mistaking. Uh huh...she was the first provider I was able to get a taste of. She and I stripped down butt naked in their garage and danced on the pole together however I quickly realized if I laid down at the bottom of the pole while she climbed the pole spinning around towards the bottom that would give me the chance to be close to her ...UH HUH.... that perfect spot ...it turned out to be a pretty hot and sexy show for everyone LOL
RC also got a shock from me one time and of course I did it right in front of everybody LOL does anybody remember THAT?
These are great memories with great people that were just looking to have a great time together....gosh, I miss those days!

Occasionally I run into someone that I knew from the socials or the strip club outings.
I saw fubar at the airport a couple of weeks ago.
I had a visit with Oserina earlier this year, she lost weight and seems to be doing OK.

Kelly, short cute blonde that bought the Agency Yours Tonight from Amber. and I had some good times. Hope Kelly is doing well.

Remember the provider that was deaf? Gosh, can't remember her name for nothing but has anyone seen her? She was so sweet and done great however she didn't stick with it.
