Just about every where I go stores are even supplying masks and yet I am always hearing new cases, new cases of deaths. As opposed to an 18 year old who likely would have recovered so fast s/he wouldn't have known it was COVID. An 86 yo has about a 12% chance of surviving a year prior to 2020.

Agreed. Should have immunity for a year (although Fauci advises that you get the vaccine anyway to have a stronger immunity).

Those cases in April/May where person got infected recovered and then got infected again 2 months later, is rare. The thought is there is a quirk with that person's immunity system he/she produced the antibodies for CV19 but they didn't stay in their system.
