"A decision for the Venezuelan People".

I agree. The Venezuelans voted overwhelmingly in favor of Hugo Chavez's policies. They traded freedom for what they thought would be a free ride from the Government. Just think, with all of that oil money, they could all "load up the truck and move to Beverly,...... Hills that is. Swimming pools, movie stars".

Venezuela is a text book example of what can happen when a Country turns into a "Socialistic Thugocracy". We are seeing history unfold on the news.

They voted for this.

We should learn.

Never give up your right to defend yourself.

Never trade freedom for a little bit of security.

Of course, it could never happen in the United States. Could it?

Keep in mind, we have a lot of "Venezuelans" living here. People who want the Government to control every every aspect of our lives. Everything would be free.
The concept of "from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" would replace initiative and hard work.

Think it can't happen here? Just look at polls. We are close to being there with over 50% of the population being recipients of some type of handout from the Government. Like junkies, they are hooked.

when you are constantly against those who are against them

and you are never against them in word or position

it seems fair for one to suppose you are for them

‘Damn socialism, why are you chasing me?’ Chinese-Americans see ghost of communism in Democrats’ leftward turn
