Default Women's' March on Pittsburgh TODAY

On January 21st, 2017, at the City-County Building on Grant Street in Downtown Pittsburgh, we will unite to march in solidarity with communities most affected by racism, hate, intolerance and acts of violence being perpetuated throughout the nation - -among many are communities of women who are immigrants, people of color, people who identify as LGBTQIA and people with disabilities. We stand for religious freedom, human rights, climate Justice, racial Justice, economic Justice, and reproductive Justice. Together, we will send a message to our leaders, and the world, that city of Champions, the region and the United States of America stands for the values of human decency, equal rights, and freedom from discrimination

Who is coming to stand up for women's reproductive rights?
I'll be there

I doubt it, most are on a strictly fish diet.

I guess Trump won't even get a chance! All of this is laughable. I can't say I've ever been a fan of any of these clown politicians, they've all fucked us over. But I'm interested to see what happens with this administration. I know, everyone is Nostradamus and knows that Trump is gonna deport all Hispanics, make women stay at home and cook and clean and probably bring slavery back but can we just please wait and see? Lol. Liberals have shown that they are the most intolerant people when things don't go their way. I don't remember so much violence when any other president was elected. Maybe all of these women would have felt better with Hillary, we all know what a champion of women's rights she is. Shes so much about women's rights that her "charity" foundation happily took tens of millions of dollars from countries where women have absolutely no rights at all. If anyone is dividing the country it's Democrats and Liberals right now. Sad because we should be better than this. If we all stopped categorizing ourselves as black, white, gay, straight and whatever else and grabbed onto the one thing we know we have in common, being American I bet this country would be as it should be. If I said anything to offend anyone I apologize in advance, that wasn't my intention with this rant, lol.

Had there been protests like this when Obama was elected everyone would be accused of being "racist".

If these protesters really want to get their point across, they should do something extreme that works!!! Like Mass Suicide!!!

I just want to say fuck all you dumb shits. I'm not gonna debate politics with a bunch of ignorant conservatives. But let's just be clear. Donald Trump is the most idiotic, unqualified, corrupt, greedy and dishonest piece of shit ever elected president. So yeah. A lot of people are pissed. He lost the popular vote by 3 million, and he's gotten even less popular since then. I guess some people realized, "Wow. He really is this much of a shithead. I thought he might change." Nope.

Um, where were the suppressed people of color that are dealing with all this "racism" in those photos?

Himzert I hear you, don't agree with you tho and you made my point about how liberals are! First thing out of your mouth is a bunch of insults and dome how whoever doesn't agree with you is ignorant. Ashame, but oh well. This is America, everyone is entitled to their opinion and their vote. Respect that and respect the political process. Donald Trump was elected president the same way every other president was elected so don't attack the Electoral College. Popular vote just isn't a fair or accurate representation of the country, California has 4 metropolitan areas (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Riverside, San Diego) that have a combined population which would make them the 3rd or 4th largest state! Go do some research and look up the population of states, cities and Metro areas in this great land of ours and then you'll see why the popular vote isn't used and never has been used to elect the President. Sorry but people in Wyoming, Montana, the Dakotas, New Hampshire and dozens of other states matter too. And as for Trump getting less popular where are you getting this info? Hopefully not the polls, the same polls that always had him losing to that other candidate whose name I hate saying or typing. TI met will tell what type of President he'll be. As for being a "dumb shit" and "ignorant" believe me I'm not. Can't even say I'm a conservative, always thought of myself as an American. I'm conservative on some issues and liberal on some but you my friend have shown yourself to be just like alot of liberals I've come across; intolerant, judgmental, fingerprinting, idealistic, crybabies. The exact opposite of what liberals claim to be. I can't say I was a big fan of Trump to start but I did want change so I supported him. He's been attacked so much and had to fight against both parties to win the presidency. The whole time he never tried to coddle people, be politically correct and he never changed. I loved the fact that he was who was, take it or leave it. These other "qualified" candidates were all lying spineless career politicians, you know, the same people that got us where we are today. Himzert my friend, sit back and enjoy the show. I'm no where near as smart as all of the people who know and predict all the bad things Trump is gonna do or all of the good things for that matter, but I'll make the prediction that it will definitely be interesting. I'm sure you guys are sick of me so I'm done but everyone ask yourself what did you do yesterday and what are you going to do today to Make America Great Again? LMFAO!

I can't believe that I am replying to this stuff on this board, but oh well! I will try to avoid outright insults and stick to facts. I overall consider myself a moderate but certainly lean left on social issues while often lean right on fiscal ones.
-Trump did lose the popular vote. Inino the problem with your stance on the electoral college and saying that everyone's votes matters is that you are actually saying that some people's votes matter more (the people of Wyoming and Montana count more than CA). He won the electoral college and is president, period.
-Trump has shown that he outright lies, is thin skinned, is ignorant to basic facts of the government, is misogynistic, and possibly racist. He claimed to want to drain the swamp but increase cronyism by nominating billionaires, wall street elite, and supporters of his (many of whom have no qualifications). I mean seriously, how do you go from a MIT professor and Nobel Laureate to Rick Perry who didn't even know what the job entailed and wanted to get rid of it previously!
-Lastly, this whole "Make America Great Again" is laughable. The time period people are referring to is one of the most racist and misogynistic in the US history! I am well educated and Trump's presidency is actually going to greatly improve my finances more so than most of his supporters!

SD78. There were people of color there, but most of them were at another March in East liberty which did not get much coverage.
