Default Senators and potential Senators

Would not be an issue if we were to repeal the 17th amendment and went back to the way our founders set it up in the first place.

Our Senators were never intended to be elected by the people. Senators represent the States. Representatives represent the people. The state legislators could simply recall Al and Moore would be dropped from consideration should the state legislators so decide.

This is just another way the progressives fucked up what was perfectly fine.

wouldnt mind changing the 17th amendment to have al a carte menu of methods to elect a senator. there are going to be states that insist on a popular election of senators. I posted such an idea many threads ago.

prior to the amendment 17, some states held a direct election of senate candidates. the state legislature then made a formal vote to appoint the winning candidate to Senate.

you're right, progressives 100 years ago fucked it up on purpose. they lied about the corruption among the senate appointees. the senate today is very corrupt.

Repeal the 17th amendment! Not the first time this idea has come up. Of course, the senate would probably be about 70 to 30 in favor the GOP.

The states should have always been in control of how Senators were selected to represent the states and not the the Federal government. This was just another stab in the heart of state's rights of self determination.

A state wide election is not a good way to elect Senators?

So, Herr ZweiHunds thinks the amendments should be repealed to return the country to the way the founders intended in the time of Heysoos.

That would mean all of them.

Figures. Fascist, Nazi FUCK stands against individual freedom, yet supports gun grabbing, government suppression of free speech and slavery. What else, Herr ZweiHunds?

You want to take away women’s right to vote?

RESIGN, NAZI FUCK!
