how to pick a web hosting company for providers?

A friend that moonlights has a web designer had been contacted by a client to design an adult website. He is asking if he needs to find a special web hosting company that will accept adult content (nudity pics), or place special legal disclaimers etc.

I am told that the nudity on the website will be by accessible by using an account/password only.

Will he need to be concerned or take other special precautions?

HostGator is a middleman for Softlayer, which used to be ThePlanet, and before that Ev1servers.net who changed their name from RackShack.net who I used to work for.

If your friend wants to make some serious $$$ rent the SERVER and not space on it...then slice out sites on the server and have an "escort site server"

if I was more versed in the web app stuff (I do hardware) I would be doing it

I signed up with HostGator also. I am a newbie builder and they are great with their costumer service and also cheap web hosting.
