Default Why is it ok for Cain but not JoePa?

Why can you people just wait and see before lynching a human being?

Why do we defend certain people and lynch others?

Could it be that we are one fun'n biased based society?

Are you comparing proven child abuse to possible but unproven acts of sexual harassment? I can understand trying to say that Paterno is not the only person responsible and does not deserve to be vilified but find a more appropriate comparison.

There has not been a trial in either. That is a fact.

Paterno will not be tried , ever. That is another fact.

The Sandusky guy will have his day in court. I am not defending him but we are still in the USofA last I checked. Let the facts come out at trial.

My guess is the guy will kill himself before trial. That is just a guess.

I agree with Laz the cases are totally different- one is actual factual- Sandosky obviously did some wrong and that's with the fact that he was banned from returning to the school- Cain's case is somewhat different because it's allegations that have yet to be proven.

Yea I would say feeling up kids is worse than feeling up ladies.

We agree.

Cain is being tried in the court of public opinion , just like JoePa. JoePa has not be accused of feeling up either kids or ladies. So yes they do differ. but I was not talking about how they differed, I was talking about how they were similiar ... such as people making judgements before ALL the facts are in. That is wtf I was talking about. Not the severity.

We will likely never know all the facts. But I can recognize smells, and this thing stinks to high heaven. The "innocent until proven guilty" is a legal fiction that applies in court. Outside of there, we are free to think what we want (at least for the time being). You don't have to be scientist to do the math and realize Paterno was involved in the coverup for the sake of the sainted, holy and untouchable athletic program. College athletics are dirty, and I hope it doesn't get any dirtier than Paterno.

OJ was found to be not guilty but 99% of the public is 100% sure he is guilty.

All major college programs cheat, its just to the degree they are willing to go . . .

The feeling isn't justified.

If you saw parts of the Republican Debate the other day, the live audience had had enough of the Cain sexual harassment allegations. As others have pointed out, Paterno isn't being accused of any sexual crime. However, the board of regents must have found something in order to justify firing Paterno and the University President.

Its human nature to conjecture about such things and its the media's business to sell it.

Now what did that lying bastard Eric Holder know and when did he know it and how much pressure did the White House apply so that Solyndra could have its $500MM payoff?

Fuc, I feel like Socrates.

They have wanted to fire Paterno for a long time.

Yes Cain is being tried by a jury of his peers...a biased audience that was wanting to hang Clinton at the same stage in investigations.

I hope Cain gets the GOP nomination and a jury of the whole country gets to try him in the voter booth, just like it did Clinton.

Does just one side get to? Or can I conjecture about how hypocritical those folks are that are doing the conjecture?

I agree wholeheartily, that the media is nothing but a business...that is why I laugh when Sara and Rush talk about the 'lamestream media' , something they act like they are not a part of and the stupid Tea Sippers swallow it hook line and sinker.

Well, as with Clinto, Cain and Paterno....I say we wait until all the evidence is in but nobody does. We are a hypocritical society that defends folks we like and hangs the ones we don't, evidence be damned!

WTF (Sized): This isn't a court of law it is a court of public opinion. Saying we are hypocritcs because we are discussing and forming opinions (even void of all the facts) is human nature and it is ok...why are you so compelled to condem it?

I certainly have never been bashful about expressing my opinion and I suspect WTF knows that as well as anyone.

I did not feel that WTF was directing his comments toward me and without a doubt I fall in the category of "everyone."

Perhaps you feel that way due to an inferiority complex!
