I understand all aspects of it. EX: I understand that you did not say if you support additional background checks - whatever that means.

Here in TX imo at least 95% of guns legally sold the buyer has a background check.

I don't know what is being talked about by "comprehensive." About 3 years ago, Obama and others clamored for the "No fly list" to be used for buying a gun. It was a worthless suggestion that got way too much airtime.

The key is have the current laws enforced and the current set of bureaucrats held accountable.

So it sounds like Trump yet again did exactly what he said he was going to do. He floated an idea, said he'd reach out to the NRA and consider their views and came to a decision.

So what did he cave on again?

he caved because he did what the NRA wants, not what he wanted.

your laughter is juvenile.

Of course, you do know that the NRA is people and that the NRA conducts numerous polls of it's people - who pay to be a member. As such, the NRA is people who share common beliefs. The NRA is also a training organization for gun safety. But to the first point, they have a large and up to date archive of polling data, aka empirical data, from those people.

So go ahead and demonize the NRA all you want. It only encourages the members to vote - and they dang sure ain't gonna vote for Ol' Shotgun Joe or Whoo-whoo Warren.

So we're back to this bullshit again.

When a politician on the left changes direction it's evolving(if it's in the direction the left wants them to go).

But when a politician on the right changes direction it's caving(if it's in the direction the right wants them to go).

I consider Trump took different sides into account and came to a decision. You don't like it, call it caving and denigrate. I say grow up and get over it.

Trump decided not to attack iran over a drone - and was vilified by DPST's
trump is evolving on background checks - and is vilified by the DPST's
no matter what Trump does - it is "Caving and 'Racism' and Russian Collusion" to the DPST's
They have lost all credibility
Particularly with the clown show on debate.

Trump is a coward. He let Iran walk all over the USA. They shot down a $ 25 million dollar drone, he caved and did nothing. Scardy Cat

Trump lets mass shooters terrorize America. Any criminal can get a gun

Trump and the DTDS are Racist Nazis

So again in regards to the OP. Trump made a decision based on input from various sources.

The leftists around here want to vilify that as "caving" and use it as an excuse for whatever other bullshit they want to attack him on.

They have been caught in their bullshit and have nothing to offer.
