NY state certainly has no problem with me paying my taxes. My tax attorney has no problem filing my taxes or taking my money. Pretty sure I have a business, at least in NYs eyes I do. If I wanted to I could even write off a ton of things as business expenses. Home office, furniture, entertainment, car, travel, phone, internet, advertising, and so on.
