I am well aware of what an acturary does. Who do you think works in or with an underwriting department of an insurance company?

I don't believe it is a right for everyone to live in a 5 bedroom 4 thousand sq feet house with a 3 car garage. I do believe everyone should be able to purchase health insurance, regardless of pre-existing conditions.

You do realize that a family of 4 that makes less than $16,000 gets State Medicaid in any of the 50 states. This was signed into law by LBJ in 1965.

People who are in the middle class(with higher incomes) and in the individual health insurance market get screwed. Not all 325 million citizens are going to be able to get Group health insurance from the employer. There will always be an individual market. The private sector and government needs to figure out a way to make it work.

^^ also why tell ALL people they have to have Health Insurance ,, just a question
1. The ACA is just for 20 - 30 million people. Most people get their health insurance from their employer.

2. I agee that the US Post Office and DMV are not run well. However, when someone turns 65 they automatically will get their health insurance from a single payer system RUN by the Government.

3. The individual mandate was an attempt to balance out the risk pool in the individual market. A balanced risk pool allows the health insurance company to keep premium prices down. With group health insurance from the employer, the health insurance enjoys a balanced risk pool (most of the employees are younger and healthy). Especially when the size of the company had 10,000 plus employees. In the individual market what they have found (which was in bb19's link) is that a majority of the individuals were older and sicker.

I’m sorry there, fella, but I can’t seem to fine anybody named “Bitten” on any ballot anywhere. I suppose you meant Biden, but wonder why you just didn’t call him Joehead.

Not childish at all.

Irony aside, is it possible that you meant to post this in the Pillow Biting thread instead?

Otherwise, you can thank your wingman, rexdutchman for the new Chucklehead rating system.

FIVE chuckleheads for that one bb1961.

1. This is in your third link (from 2012) you posted from bullet one.

The November elections are the last hope — we must elect a Congress and a president committed to repealing Obamacare. They, and all of us, will need to be armed with the facts to explain to the American people exactly what is in this monstrous law.

Obama beat Romney by FIVE Million votes.

2. They need to change the formula for both the medicare tax and the social security tax. The baby boomers are retiring. They are still using the original formulas.

3. It's true if you have a car accident you will be put on assigned risk and you will have to pay a higher premium. However, with Auto insurance each auto insurance company that sells auto insurance in a state must accept or take their fare share of assigned risk drivers. The auto insurance company can't discriminate against high risk drivers, and refuse to sell them a policy (the pool of high risk or bad drivers is shared among the auto insurance companies selling auto insurance in that state.

With medical insurance you don't have that. The health insurance companies do not have sell health insurance at HealthCare.gov. They can avoid high risk policy holders in the individual market.
You really have an apples to oranges comparison when you try to compare auto insurance to medical insurance.

With the ACA being passed over 90% of the total USA population has some type of health insurance from one of the following.

Group health insurance from the employer
Obamacare / ACA
1. Private health insurance plan
2. Expanded Medicaid in the 34 states that have it

Original Medicaid (signed into law by LBJ in 1965 and only covers really poor people Family of 4 that makes less than $16,000). You are covered regardless of pre-existing conditions.

Now that over 90% of the citizens have some type of coverage, what the government needs to do is come up with a solution to get the cost of insurance policies to come down in the individual market.

Last thing, health insurance should be a right. So, the answer to your question is YES.

So it took you all this time to admit that you think health insurance is a right...you found this in the constitution I take it. What else is a right besides life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness.

I'm sure you have page after page of what people and groups we can pander to make us feel good about ourselves. The assclowns running for the nomination are falling all over themselves to see who can give away more taxpayer money.

Must be hard for you do decide which one will spend the most money pandering to largest group to get your vote...choices...choices!!
I take it you have no belief in self-reliance...all these people can't make it without the Gumment.

P.S. The Gumment doesn't belong in healthcare PERIOD...the less the Gumment is involved in the BETTER!!

When they wrote the constitution, the cost of taking your appendix out was not $50,000. The cost stay in hospital for one night was not $250 per night. A lot has changed since they wrote the constitution. Getting sick should not drive one into bankruptcy.

Try to get your FACTS straight.

Where did you get your "facts"?

The ACA was designed to replace the existing private health insurance companies by destroying their ability to provide individual and group healthcare, whether through employment or association membership, and force everyone into a one payor system. PussLousy didn't care what was in it, because she was desiring to salvage the California "health care plan" for government employees and retirees, since the California Legislative Loons had wrecked the State's budget with ridiculous retirement plans that the fleeing California taxpayers were not going to be around to support.

The scheme failed! Now she'll advocate it to provide all those illegal aliens the healthcare the Dims have promised them to entice them to the U.S. to vote in 2020, since the California Loons have created a "Sanctuary State" for them. That's as good a reason as any for PussLousy to make nice with the Loons eg Cortez .... she can't appear as though she doesn't like "Mexicans"!

The number is not "20 million" any more. There are about 50 million illegals in this country now.

1. The CBO (Congressional Budget Office). The link with the projections from 2010 was posted several times. I am sure you can find it if you want to.

2. An illegal can not go to HealthCare.Gov and get a private health insurance plan. An illegal does not have a social security number. You are out of touch with reality.

Do you have a problem with Medicare Part D which was signed into law by Bush43? Medicare Part D is where the GUMMENT helps seniors pay for prescriptions that they can't afford with taxpayer money. You don't seem to have a problem with an entitlement that gets implemented by a Republican.
