I believe flirting is truly a lost art form. Most people seem to think that flirtatious behavior has to be leading to something more when in fact it can be something as innocent as telling your friend's mother how pretty she looks today or maybe something you say to get the cashier to smile. In either case, there is no further contact or intent but it does brighten their day.
Ladies, think of a smile shared or a cute remark you have traded with the cable installer. Guys, what about the girl who took your money at the carwash? And think about the double standard out there...if I tell a young lady she looks pretty today, I'm flirting. The same thing said to her grandmother is just me being nice.
My ex would get all upset with any type of overly friendly behavior on my part , no matter how random the circumstance. She just couldn't accept the fact that every comment made wasn't my attempt to get into the sack with a stranger.
The world would be a much brighter place if we could all just flirt a bit more.
