Well, I took a course in college called Embryonic Development, Throughout the different stages of development there is a progession of area of the embryo the becomes different things in the body. The flix when the outside becomes the inside to develop into the digestive tract is interesting.
To make a long story short: when we are looking at the sexual development of the baby the genitalia starts the same for both boys and girls. The cells that become scrotum in the male is the same cells that will become the labia in the females. While the cells tha make a testicle in the male will make an ovary in the female. Certain developed cells will growm devide to make more cells and become the penis in the male: those same cells will form the clitoris in the female with a lot of nerves that also bring pleasure to the female.
We all start this life as a single cell that devides into two, and then 4, then 16, 32, 64 etc.: in very rapid development The development of different embrio shows the past development of the species: "ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny" is the reference term.
