Trump administration backs ruling that Odumbocare should be thrown out

03/25/2019 10:18 PM EDT

The Trump administration on Monday said it supports a federal judge's ruling that the entire Affordable Care Act should be scrapped, signaling a shift in the Justice Department's position and alarming Democrats who vowed to oppose the move.

"The Department of Justice has determined that the district court's judgment should be affirmed," three Justice Department lawyers wrote to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, which is now considering the case. "[T]he United States is not urging that any portion of the district court's judgment be reversed."

Fuck McCain's pettiness.

Quote:
In NFIB, the Supreme Court held the Individual Mandate was unconstitutional under the Interstate Commerce Clause but could fairly be read as an exercise of Congress’s Tax Power because it triggered a tax. The TCJA eliminated that tax. The Supreme Court’s reasoning in NFIB—buttressed by other binding precedent and plain text—thus compels the conclusion that the Individual Mandate may no longer be upheld under the Tax Power. And because the Individual Mandate continues to mandate the purchase of health insurance, it remains unsustainable under the Interstate Commerce Clause—as the Supreme Court already held.

since congress wasn't able to repeal ACA the last 2 years, removing the tax mandate was the next best thing.

the removal rendered ACA naked to its un-constitutionality.

About health care?

The only ones who don’t give a rat’s ass as the brown shirts.

Better dust off that pitchfork and oil up your tiki torch, bub. You’re gonna be marching!
