That’s not exactly what the deal was. The statute involved pertained to giving immunity to law enforcement officer who engaged in acts of prostitution to maintain their cover. A textbook example is an undercover agent investigating an organized crime syndicate who is faced with having to have sex with a prostitute to maintain his cover. Without the exemption, the defendants’ lawyers would attempt to invalidate the charges related to the surrounding circumstances and push to have the cop charged with solicitation of prostitution, etc.

Of course, what happened, was that some individual cops and departments misconstrued and misused this exemption as a green light and official policy and sought to use it to make prostitution arrests. The media perpetuated this idea. However, according to my rather extensive legal research on this topic, I do not believe the use of this exemption resulted in a prostitution case going to trial and resulting in a conviction on that charge. Regardless, the got rid of the exemption a few years ago and now LEOs in the situation must use their best judgment and rely on sympathetic prosecutors to not charge them with a crime.

Here's the 2014 article from the AP.

Essentially, if an officer makes it to your incall, you're getting fucked, just not like you expected.

Screen screen screen.

Once LE is in the room, you are likely going in. Running your mouth will just make the cops job easier. Don't focus on avoiding the arrest (too late), focus on beating the charge by keeping your mouth shut.

If you get busted shut up. You are not as smart as you think you are and they are not only smarter they have lots of experience lol. I know what others have said but cops can do or say just about anything. In many cases the cop is the only witness and they are considered expert witnesses because of training and experience. This is a shyster John subject if he is still around.

Shut up , be respectful and ask politely if you are being arrested.

I can’t open your link, but...

Of course if they bother to come to you, or have you come to them, they already have evidence on you.

If they answer NO...thank them. And tell them you’re leaving.

If YES, SJ would agree...shut up...call your lawyer. You can beat the rap, but you can’t beat the ride at that point. Nowadays, cops a a a have so much technology at their fingertips that judges don’t take kindly to simple testimony when other evidence would have been better.

The "are you LE" question is not much different than when a provider says "no AA." Usually it's a sign of poor screening techniques.

Personally I don't see anybody I can't verify is really a provider. She would have to be on here or P411 with reviews I can somewhat trust.

It's interesting to watch cops or whatever and see all of the mistakes people make.
For the client the undercover sting will almost always be an incall at a motel.
The UC will have to get you to commit to a financial transaction and a service. Without both they don't have a case. You might get arrested but would be hard to be convicted (of course most plea to avoid trial which is what they are counting on). So many times I've seen the UC ask what are you looking for while she's still fully dressed
In a legit session with a true provider and client there is no need to ask that question. You're both adults and know why you're there. Once you're naked and doing grown up stuff then you can talk a little bit. You can go ahead and get naked and ask her to get naked also. I don't think that a female UC is going to get naked in a sting with the cameras rolling. How would that play out in court and public records? Ask her to get naked and dance for you...that's not illegal and is another thing very unlikely a UC would do.
Just go up to her and try to kiss her without discussing anything. Another thing a UC isn't gonna do but 99.9% of true providers will.

Just the biggest red flag when you don't know who you're dealing with is talking about services and prices. Nobody should be doing that if you're not 100000% certain of who you're in the room with.

For the provider to get caught up in a bust it would either have to be a VERY elaborate sting operation, or you didn't do proper screening and talked about rates and services (or have warrants or something else in the room that isn't legal).

Just think about it, folks. Despite what we ALL are saying, probably half of the providers out there have "No law enforcement" in their ads, and at least half of the ones I contact ask me "Are you affiliated with any law enforcement agent or activity?", as if answering yes would make any difference. I have to say. I like P411 and am pretty upset that they are changing their rules next year. The climate is changing out there and not in a good way....

Yes. A million times this. And even if you're certain of who you're in the room with, that person could be in a bad situation with LE and giving them information that could still hurt you.

For me, it's NEVER talk about rates and services with ANYONE. This is why Encounter Reports are so very important.
