Default Dem Bad News Gets Worse.......

The highly regarded democratic polling firm of Stanley Greenberg/Quinlan/Rosner (and James Carville) just released his new polling data showing very bad news for the Democratic prospects in 2012.......

Democratic pollster Stan Greenberg just surveyed voters in 60 battleground districts and found an electorate even more inclined to vote Republican (and Republican controlled re-districting hasn't kicked in yet) !

“Instead of an overall anti-incumbent sentiment impacting members of both parties, voters are taking more of their anger out on Democrats. When voters were asked whether they’re supporting the Republican incumbent or a Democratic candidate, 50 percent preferred the Republican and just 41 percent backed the Democrat. Voters in these districts said they were more supportive of Republicans than they were during the 2010 midterms …”

All indications are that the Tea Party congressional victories of 2010 will be even higher in 2012 !

As for the presidential race, Greenberg reported that both Perry and Romney polled 49 percent against President Obama in the battleground districts, “suggesting that voters are more concerned with casting their ballot against Obama than caring about who the Republican nominee ends up being.”

The "polling" in Europe is looking bad also.

“Germany Told The White House That Boosting The EU Rescue Fund Would Be A 'Stupid' Idea”

“According to The Telegraph, German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schauble said that boosting the EFSF would be a stupid idea because it would "endanger the AAA sovereignty of member states."
“And when the White House said that failing to to recapitalize banks was "scaring the world," Schauble basically told it to mind its own business.”

The rest of the world smells blood in the water.

I worry about guys like Whirlaway. I really do. How will they handle it if the Dems not only keep the White House (major poll two days ago showed BO beating Perry and Romney), but manage to tighten things up in the House?

Will they slip into deep depression? Move to Candada? Drink heavily? Will they entertain thoughts of ending it all? Will they turn violent? Will they put on a lot of weight? How about Whirlaway? How would you handle BO winning re-election (and don't wuss out and say "I can't even conceive of the possibility").

TexasT, could you please cite the poll you reference? I have not seen any poll showing the figures you mention against both opponents and I am curious to read the information.

Thanks

hmmm I wouldn't say this is bad news for Dems and good news for GOp here is the latest update- keep in mind we are 14 months away- which is an eternity in terms of elections: http://www.rasmussenreports.com/publ...dential_ballot
In head to head polls Obama beats out all 3: Perry- Romney and Paul- but is nearly beating Romney- keep in mind the GOP are trailing with the current status of a bad economy- not good news-look at it this way- if this were the Super Bowl and the team that is trailing would they be happy that they are trailing knowing that the opposing team has been using it's 2nd string players all game and it star QB and star players are on the bench resting????
The GOP can only attack Obama with the economy and if this current stage the incumbent is beating 3 of the main players-albeit one of by a slim margin I take that as bad news for the GOP.

Clinton lost big but won re-election easily. You know it's bad when you have republicans still looking for another candidate

wellendowed,

Do you not even read what you post? Againn, you post something, offer your opinion on what was posted, and it is not reflecting the content of your article. The pollsters in your article clearly state Obama and Romney remain statistically tied.

And every time I have asked you these questions you ignore them. At some point do you even want to back up your opinions with something resembling facts? Again, these are YOUR posts, not your opinions of other's content.

thatdude,

Remember, Clinton won because a strong third party candidate took away independent and republican votes. It remains to be seen if a third party candidate will emerge than leans either way to sway voters in 2012.

In hindsight Clinton did a good job for the most part working with Congress.

Clinton had the intelligence (and political instincts) to move to the center after the Republican thrashing in the mid-term election. Obama has neither the intelliegence or desire to be a centrist....he is an ideologue who would rather go down with a sinking Socialist ship...and he will take the (remaining) Democratic Congress with him....Harry Reid knows it; that is why Reid wouldn't bring Obama's "job creation" scheme up for a vote !

The Progressive agenda in America will be dead; or buried alive for decades because of Obama's intransigence!
