I can't stand Ryan Reynolds.

I don't know why.

LOL that's valid. He's grown on me over the years, especially with Deadpool!

34 months ago I posted my review of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 1:

Quote:
Horrible Horrible Horrible film.

Nothing but set pieces put together to make a nearly 2 hours movie (if you don't include the ending credits).

Then aside from the unneeded profanity, you had scenes that were out of place that were just put in by the screenwriters as fillers.

There is nothing in the movie that made me care for those characters or for whatever they were looking for or that held my attention.

It took me several viewings over 3 nights for me to finish it from beginning to end.

Also what's the deal with Howard The Duck at the end?

I just watched

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3896198

It has some pretty impressive visuals and special effects but once again just like in the first film, it's bunch of set pieces of action and dramatic narrative put together to make a whole.

The middle act suffers from too much repetition and slow pacing.

Just like the first one that was so forgettable where I don't recall much about it, I have to keep asking myself who is this? Who is that?

Characters from the first movie appear and new characters are introduced and they don't stick around long enough for you to care about them.

There are several plot devices put into the script to drive an otherwise senseless story forward, a story we are all familiar with and have seen in other movies before.

By the time you have finish watching this 2 hours and 16 minutes over long film, you will find yourself asking:

What the Fuck did I just watch???

Of course there will be a sequel. Without Marvel and DC comics, the movie business will be out of business.

The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1959563/

Hot fucking damn!

I am not a Ryan Reynolds fan - honestly I can't stand the guy:

but this had more action, stunts and funny quick one liners than the combination of several Bond, Mission Impossible, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon and Fast and Furious movies.

Plus the constantly bickering, at each other's throats chemistry between Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds reminded me of Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh.

Heck! Even the movie poster is funny!

4.75/5

p.s. Am I the only one who is tired of seeing Gary Oldman playing a bad guy over and over and over again?

The Layover (2017)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4565520/

Actor William H. Macy directed this???

WHY???

Did he need to buy a new car or make a mortgage payment?

Kate Upton and Alexandra Daddario are pretty to look at but that's about all there is going for this movie and that's not much of it.

The script is very juvenile and simple and cliche: 2 girls, best friends since grade school, bring out their bitch side fighting over the one guy that sat between them on a flight from Seattle to Fort Lauderdale.

How many more times can you recycle the same premise?

you figure out the whole movie just from this trailer:

Yeah....I agree with that, Z. Especially looking forward to the sequel (of Deadpool)....I'm intrigued with this Marvel character and the sharp wit.

And with you, as well, sexxxy lady.....great photos (per your showcase) plus any girl who's a B52 fan is All Right with me

Did a triple feature.

Wind river - okay. Very watchable. One of the better movies this year. Good acting etc

9/11 - shit. Good actors in it but it was like a made for TV movie. Movie was 7-8 years too late to capture an audience. Good cast but bad acting for some reason

It - more of a kids or teen movie in the mold of goonies. Stephen king movies just don't scare anyone. Black teens I have to say love this movie judging by theatre reactions..lol
