Paying for babysitters?

I’ve noticed a trend lately with girls asking for $$ to pay their babysitter, saying they have to pay them up front.
I’m just assume it’s another scam and move on, but I’ve had a few of these lately.

I’ve never heard of babysitters asking to get paid ahead of time.
Even if it’s true, that just seems stupid to me. There’d be no incentive for them to actually stay. They could just take off with your money and leave your kid all alone.

I’ve never had kids though, so I honestly don’t know how it works?

There is no reason EVER that a provider needs to ask for any money upfront, be it for a babysitter, hotel room, driver that drove them to your outcall, ect.

Babysitters do not get paid upfront because usually, they get paid by the hour and no one can predict traffic, how long it is going to be to get your food or eat at the sit down restaurant or anything else. If a provider does not have the money themselves to pay for a room or a pay a driver, then they need not provide.

I do know that way back in my stripper days-- there were a few sitters that would charge by the evening and expected payment up front (seems that some ladies in our profession aren't good about paying their bills, imagine that). It was a drop in care type of situation-- so no real logical risk of them leaving the kid alone in their house. Worked great for full time dancers-- flat fee for the entire evening of childcare.



Having said that-- seems logical that a provider should have the funds in reserve for the next day of childcare (or incall fee, or whatevs). Its just like being an Uber driver-- it would be foolish to wake up in the morning and not have gas money for the day.

what a provider does w/ or needs money for should not be a consideration for the guy to deal with.

the provider should have sufficient funds to pay for hotel rooms, sundries, baby sitters, gas, etc.
if she doesnt and asks the guy for it, he is under NO obligation to fund her business in that manner. but if he does, that's his choice.

Next they're gonna want to charge tricks for gas money to get to you, wanting babysitting money is funny, maybe they should contact the deadbeat dad to cover expenses, them charging hundreds of dollars a hour and being flat broke should be a red flag about where the $ is ending up. Them bad habits catch up sooner or later

If money is being requested upfront for any reason whether it’s mentioned in the ad or in subsequent communication it is most likely a scam. If the ad says 200 for an hhr but you need to send a deposit of 50 on Venmo or CashApp first, all they actually want is for the you to send the 50. Once you do, communication will likely end. They will not be at the appointment. You won’t see or hear anything from them ever again. There is even a chance that it isn’t even a girl you’ve been talking to if all your communication was through text. Just some big fat dude named Grady posting fake adds in multiple markets with stolen photos and burner phones to text people with. And he knows you won’t do shit about that 50 because you can’t go to the police so fuck you. You just paid for his next trip to Sizzler or Golden Corral. Go ahead and send that “babysitter money” and let us know how things go. Or how they don’t.

I should start charging providers when I gotta drive two hours to end up sitting in my car to turn around and drive home *cough*amberoktobur*cough*

If I say I'm gonna be there, I'm gonna be there. Deposits are in most cases a scam regardless of reason and no amount of positive reviews will ever get me to put one down. Personal preference. Y'all get no shows, I get ghosts.

If they're that far, they can either give you a deposit or come to you. I agree there's nothing worse than a long drive for absolutely no reason. I tell them when I leave the house I'm on my way. Every 15 minutes I request a text that they're still there. If no reply, I'm going back home.

That's the cost of doing business, it's not always a win win situation, every industry has loses. The guys lose plenty of time and $ also
