Default Poll: Obama ‘Worst President’ Since World War II

http://thefederalistpapers.org/us/po...tm_campaign=LC

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who was the worst president of them all?

Or, at least since World War II?

Barack Hussein Obama.

Barack Hussein Obama.

Yes, it’s true. According to a new Quinnipiac University Poll, “33% named Barack Obama the worst president since World War II.”

According to USA Today:

President Obama has topped predecessor George W. Bush in another poll, but not one he would like…

…”Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel,” said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

Of course, Obama and Bush are the most recent presidents; historians will tell you that it takes decades to truly measure an individual president’s performance….

…The Quinnipiac poll also reports that 45% believe the nation would be better off had Mitt Romney defeated Obama in the 2012 presidential election; 38% say the country would be worse off with a Romney presidency.

I think this is a bogus poll.

Oh no–not because I disagree with the Obama rating; but because Jimmy Carter is only the fourth worst president since World War II.

I agree that Nixon and Obama should beat him out–but not George W. Bush.

After all, when did Bush EVER say that the problem with America was the American people? (Carter’s Crisis of Confidence speech).

What about when Carter believed the Soviet Union wasn’t a threat to us.

Then they invaded Afghanistan. And thenhe considered that the greatest threat since World War II?

For lack of leadership and knowledge of foreign policy, Carter should certainly take the #3 slot behind Obama and Nixon.

Everything else on the Worst President poll looks about right.

As with most subjects discussed on this forum, you can find articles that run contrary to the one posted by the OP.

The following website has Obama ranked 12th:

Here, again, Obama is ranked 12th:

This "new" poll was taken in July of 2014.
Some people are so easily fooled.

President Obama had a 60% approval rating when he left office. That is the fourth highest for outgoing presidents in 80 years.

FWIW, the poll was badly flawed. See the link below. The Federalist Papers is hardly a trusted source of information but they did not conduct the poll -- Quinnipiac University did.

Here's how the approval rating works. When he left office Harry Truman was considered by many to be the worst president of the 20th century but this poll shows that is tied with number one. So you can take Obama's approval rating and shove to where it might make you feel good but that is all it's worth.

Many of us are old enough to have lived through the Carter years. We don't need a Historian to tell us how bad things were.

you know it really surprises me how LBJ gets a pass on being one of the worst president in history, after escalating the Vietnam war when he took office, everybody hates Bush over the WMD's and 5000 American life's lost in Iraq, in Vietnam there were over 59,000 life's lost, but at least the Iraq Vet came home a hero the Vietnam Vet not so much
