Default Do you believe in FATE? Ever had coincidences happen?

POLL IS ANONYMOUS.

I've had a few things happen that you could call FATE maybe or just weird coincidences.

EXAMPLES:
1). When I was a young girl at my Grandma's lake...I was laying on an innertube in the water during the nice quiet day when out of the silence of the day a real loud song started to play. Someone only blasted this song. No other music. I thought it was the coolest song (at the time). Found out it was ZEBRA "Who's Behind The Door?". I went out and bought all their albums. Years later, I meet a man in Louisiana whom not only loved that band, but also was from the same area they performed and supposedly were from. Small world eh? I felt this was fate (or coincidence #1).
2). When I was a high schooler, I LOVED the band THE BREAKS. I guess they only had 1 album. I thought the woman singer was very sexy and had a great husky powerful voice. A few years later, I end up rooming with a girl for school who not only came from the hometown of the BREAKS and knew of them real well. Small world again.....or (weird coincidence #2??)
3). I just realized lately, that the areas/cities I've lived in (at least 4 of them) all rhyme. (weird coincidence #3 that I would move to cities that sound alike).
4). Back in my dating years, I did a lot of blind dates. Answered a lot of personal ads. Met one guy....dated a couple times. Seen his apartment. It didn't work out. A few years later I meet another man. He takes me to his place and as I'm in his living room on the couch....something looks quite familiar. He has WOOD MOLDINGS on his front windows and along the doorways and so on. This wood looks familiar. It wasn't til I got back home and saw the envelope of a letter I still had from man #1 that I realized it's the exact---same---address. Now how WEIRD is that to date 2 guys from the same house and they are not related and did not know each other at all? Was it fate that brought me back there or just another weird coincidence?? I mean, of ALL the houses in the city....to not only meet someone who lives on the same street....but in the SAME HOUSE???? Can someone say TWILIGHT ZONE???

I could probably think of more if I strained my brain, but these stand out the most.

How many others have had things happen prior in life to not only either revisit them again in the future not realizing you're doing so or feel that fate has made situations in your life happen?

I'm undecided. I'll think on this for a while and get back.

I am not a believer of Fate or Kharma or the concept that what goes around comes around. People love to grab coincidences and twist them into things that do not logically follow. Humans thrive on anecdotal evidence, and will ignore scientific evidence in favor of a neighbors opinion. They will also take financial advice from coworkers who have no idea about investing.

Yes I have had many different situations occur in my life that may be explained as fate, both good and bad. I understand where FNF is coming from about being logical in how we process things that happen to us, but even logic can't explain everything. There were a couple of times that I would listen to that little voice in my head to take a certain route while driving only to find out there was an accident where I would have been. Or before I joined eccie which provider to call or not. I avoided a couple scammers. I'm not a tree huggin hippie or anything close to that. I just think that the universe is such a huge place that science and religion both can't explain how it all works. We are alive for some reason imo, our entire planet, ecosystem, etc. works perfectly so the random accident theories seem illogical to me. So yes I believe that some situations, not all, but some that happen in our lifetime can be classified as fate.

I don't believe in luck, fate or coincidence. I believe all things happen for a reason.

Default this has all happened before, will happen again

My revelation came while studying the heisenberg principle.
It involved the phasing out of electrons and other
particles from the atomic matrix of all things.
On the quantum level particles disappear
and reappear all the time. Where the particles go
has given credence to the multiverse theory
all matter is shared with all universal planes
we are all connected.

The real issue was how did the particles know
just where to return to? It's more complicated
than it sounds. From the time you started rea ding
this post you are well over 200,000 miles from
the point in space the earth was.
It's not linear either.
Earth spins 1000 mph
Orbits sun over 62000 mph
Sun orbits galactic core 220 kps
Galaxy is moving 552-630 kps

So how in the hell can a particle 'remember'
to track it's destined place?
Einstein hated this stuff ignored it where he could.
The implications are unsettling to say the least.
Bell's theorem helps but it only explains
some of the observed effects not how/why.
In short either this has all happened before.
Or
It's an illusion.

I believe that we create the luck/karma/what-have-you that we experience.... we can all reference a time when we made a decision that led to another decision/experience...etc.. in if that initial action was not take, a slew of following events may/may not have occurred...

if you ever want to contemplate something complex that is very hard to get your head around, grab the books noted below... I have them both on my ipad and read them (over and over) whilst on overseas flights.... each time, I grasp another insight that makes me feel very insignificant in the grand scheme of things... it is very humbling experience

Default most of your choices are illusuory

You have free reign to some degree- not complete.
Even then that 'free' concept is largely illusuory as well.

A simple example would be if you saw a small
creature about to fall and injure itself right
in front of you.
Be it a toy pomeranian, a toddler, your old grandma
99.99% of us will try to catch them even at cost
of slight injury to ourselves-or greater even.
The choice of just watching wasn't a real option
in the executable set. That it exists in concept
can't be denied. But in the RW it is revealed for
the mirage that it always was.

That's applied concept.
To the question of coincidences, there are none.
Everything matters, nothing is inconsequential.
We meet who we meet by design not default.

Even weirder. The entire quantum matrix
upon which the visible verse is created
has all lifeforms connected at a very base level.

I was inside blasting nirvana - rape me
Speakers were thumping I heard nothing else.
I got willed to look outside.
I didn't want to move- I was comfortable.
I got pressured to go outside.
What is it! I got up went to slider and looked
in the backyard.......nothing I try to go back
to my music and I get as pushed as I could
be without being touched GO OUTSIDE
ehhh sometimes.....
I stick my head out and see wtf.
Humph nothing- GO- yeah I know outside.
I step out and say
"Alright God whats so damn important"
I was being an ass I didn't expect an answer.
That moment a whirring flutter clicking
started rhythmically echoing from one
of the skylights. I walked over I saw
the largest dragonfly I had seen in awhile.
Wingspan just shy of 7 inches.
Wings intact. Body length 5 or so inches.
A beautiful magnificent specimen.
She landed on my hand I took her from
under the patio- she saw sky she was gone.
Wondering what just happened I went
back inside where my youngest son asked
why did I go outside.
God loves dragonflies son.

I am a firm believer in karma and things happen for a reason and although at the time I may not understand why it does become clear later....i believe in doing the right thing and while i am human I try not to hurt anyone and when I do I own it and apologize...we all have choices and what happens depends on the choices we make...so yes I believe in fate and destiny....

fate, karma. coincidence whatever you call it happens to everyone and each of us have to decide what path to take in life and sometimes it leads us back to our past.
old songs, old movies, old friends all bring back fond memories and sometimes shape what we do or how we act to certain set of circumstances.
I can name lots of these that have happened to me over the years and make you stop and say WTF ..the most recent was about a year ago ..i walked out of doctors office after being diagnosed with cancer and start my truck and i was sitting there contemplating what the hell was going to happen and on the radio the song that comes on is "dont fear the reaper" it made me think...and i decided to not worry and fight it no matter what i had to do and to take the positive attitude that no matter what happened i would beat it.
I had surgery the next week and have been cancer free for little over a yr and half now.
the song made me quit worrying and just dont fear the future..how big of a coincidence was it for that song to come on at that particular instance?
weird...but thank goodness for little coincidences.

there was a story about this regarding a married couple. they found old photos of portrait shots and in the background was usually one of the couples parents with the baby (one of the couple as a baby).

i thought that was wierd and interesting to know that your life mate was decided.

for me its usually money.

when you get good luck, few days later bad luck taketh away.

when you get bad luck, few days later, good luck pays just to enough to cover what the bad luck wrought on me.

replacing flat tire and engine breakdowns are the culprits

No, I've decided I don't believe in fate. I never really have. Everything good and bad that's come to me are by the choices I have made and things that I have done. I don't think any of it is predetermined.
