one question... why do they hate russia so much??? after the fall of the soviet union, this should have changed as the communist are no longer running russia. this is puzzling.

the geopolitical matrix had changed with the crackup of the Soviet Union. they are more about influence rather than world conquest. Russia reset/rebooted itself as a continuation of the Russian Empire.

I do note that Russia is still an empire.

Good question the U.S has been "in bed with Russia " more or less from 1917 , and in 1945 failed to push them back with caused the cold war. ( so maybe its more cost effective as a enemy )
