Default This Memorial Day

Let's honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice by giving their lives in battle. Too many in the media want to construe this COVID lockdown to charging the beaches of Normandy. It's not and it's insult to those who did charge there and other places.

Although some veterans did lose their lives to this disease most didn't. Time we get over this lockdown, stand shoulder to shoulder and praise those who made this possible.

You caught the marine helmet cover on the coxswain too? Yes, a Pacific landing and not Normandy.
Still doesn't take away from all those who went on the beaches, jumped from aircraft, sailed on ships, and walked into battle for our country.
Note: the last member of Easy company died last year.

All except for liars and stolen valor assholes.

They would need to be about 115 years old or so.

WW1 1914- 1918

Some enlisted at 15 with older family members identification. So

Say 1918 enlistment at 15 would be a birth year of 1903.

Today they would be no less than 116-117.

Its possible a few are around.

Prolly count em on one hand.

Dont want to derail the thread but WW1 was brutal. They basically had modern tech but still had archaic medicine practices. With the addition of wide spread experimental biological weapons. This war set up most of the wars to follow.
