Yes, Trump says he'd like to have a press that doesn't criticize him and a public that adores him, like Kim Jong Un's. But that's not how a democracy works. We don't live in a totalitarian state, or something like Orwell's 1984. I'm not saying he would go that far. He probably does not want America to become like Russia, Turkey or Venezuela, where the government completely stifles dissent. He watches MSNBC. In business Trump screwed his partners, not so much his competitors. Now that he's president that makes him qualified to screw you. And countries like Canada and the EU that have historically been friends and allies.

The guy ended up with a lot of people who wouldn't do business with him as a real estate developer, so he shrewdly switched businesses and started selling his name and his "brand" instead of real estate.
