Electrical play can be a lot of fun. Violet Wands and TENS units are more my style, but I'm sure Estim can be fun too. I can't say I've heard of a provider having one, but I'm almost certain they are out there...

I actually now think it might be one and the same. There's two types of electrical devices. TENS units have the ability to go deeper and effect nerves where some devices are purely for muscle stimulation. After some search Estim might just be the general term for electrical play. It's also a device which seems to actually be a TENS unit. My preference is actually a Violet Wand to be honest. I guess it just looks way cooler.

ESTIM is slightly different then TENS only in the method of contact more than anything else. TENS is primarily pads placed in the skin and electricity sent in pulses through them. There are other insert able and clamp able attachments to allow for the electricity to be concentrated in the genitalia, or other body parts.

ESTIM has many attachments - the most popular being the Violent Wand. It is a single attachment, that can be moved over the body to send electricity back and forth to a directed point. Not usually used in pluses, it is controlled by the distance from the body and in some cases, a foot control to manage the intensity.

There are also the cattle prods and other more intense type electricity implements - the worst being the Tazer. I have no expereince with these, so I cannot talk to them.

As with all this kind of play, be sure to read on the proper use, crossing electricity through the chest can cause heart failure.

I got into this just screwing around with the Rumba units: high frequency, no real power. Then I ran across the

Erostek: ET232

and PES

The ET312B Erostek is the Bentley of the power boxes.

I use these for the non-painful, vibrator-like sensations mostly with electrode pads, sorta like the ones used for EEGs but larger. The TENS units are simply less powerful units with a higher frequency. The two above are far more powerful and with deep frequencies, ergo, more range.

The Violet Wand is a zapper, a shocker, mostly used for BDSM play.

The Erostek and PES units can be used like that, but they have far greater versatility. I'm not into the BDSM stuff, so have never used the violet wand or that fly zapper or the prods.

It's difficult to describe the sensations other than compare it with real powerful vibrators+.

This is a good topic but one that leaves me feeling uneasy, a little bit.

A client of mine had one of those erostek machines and a few years ago, we played around with it. Had one on one breast (mine) and he was telling me to not cross your heart with this machine and I'm like, "Oh crap". I didn't really like the feeling.

Then a few months ago had a TENS until used on my vagina and I cannot say that I liked it at ALL. It hurt and even the tingling didn't feel good. I could have it on my shoulders all day long, though.

But I'm always open to trying it again. The erostek that I checked out a few years ago to buy was about $400 and attachments were extra. My client LOVED the phallic attachment and enjoyed the whole thing in his ass.

Maybe I should rethink this whole subject? What could some of the dangers be?

Coward!! (Just kidding). I'm just a hedonist, I suppose. I truly like the stimulation and believe if done thoughtfully, can add my dimensions to libidinal fun. Of course there must be safety first: No current through the heart, period. But a closed channel on the power boxes can be used to stim nipples if the current only goes through the nipples. This might be arguable, but I think it holds. It takes some experimentation to figure out electrode configurations and power settings to get effects that are right for the individual. That's part of the fun. The experimentation becomes a big part of the scene at least for me.
