While flipping around a few TV channels while sipping some coffee an hour or so ago, I saw a report that Kennedy had advised "a few close friends" that he was about to hang it up.
Don't remember which network I saw that on, but it sure sounds like a gentle "pre-announcement retirement announcement."
Would that Justices Breyer and Ginsburg follow his example straight away!

Ginsburg turned 84 last week.....Kennedy will be 81 later this summer. Both should resign and enjoy the years they have remaining. But...it'll prolly be Kennedy. Ruth is stubborn enuff to stick it out till 2020 (alas...all for naught tho...lol)
