Just what does the date on a condom mean? Will the latex itself break down or is it more about the spermacide? BTW I am talking more about a little past NOT 1,000 expired.

Both lubricated and unlubricated condoms begin to lose strength and flexibility, and are more likely to break.

If it's a little expired you're probably still okay to use it. It's of course better to use it than no condom at all. If it's been stored in a dark cool place you're probably fine to use it.
