First off I believe that money is a currency, not speech. Corporations are not persons or citizens. Corporations are creations of our government, which is our creation.

As to your question: history is happening right now. Conservative billionaire donor Sheldon Adelson is shelling out big bucks (allowed by the conservatives on the Supreme Court due to Citizens United v. FEC, McCutcheon v. FEC, and possibly Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc.) so that Internet gambling is not legalized. He's on a spending spree buying off conservative politicians. His "free speech" to donate money anonymously is now unlimited. Your "free speech" to place a bet on the Internet is prohibited. He can spend his money how he wants. You, on the other hand, can only spend your money how he wants.

As far as stripclubs go, Phillip Cosby of the American Family Action of Kansas and Missouri is the conservative who wrote and pushed for the change in stripclub laws. Blaming the governor is a copout and you know it. If you're going to blame everything that the state legislature did during those governor's terms, then can I give the governors credit for everything good that happened in their states during those years? Didn't think so.

I will concede that republicans may do some questionable things when it comes to personal liberty but real conservatives (not someone who says they are to get elected) don't care about your titty bar, your regular bar, or even the sex trade unless they impose themselves on people who don't' want them. A true liberal (not a progressive/neo-socialist liberal probably thinks along the same lines).

I can't disagree with you there, JD. I'd vote R if they'd stay the hell out of my morality. Shit, if they took a true conservative's take on weed, I'd vote R too. The should make that their wedge issue instead of abortion. But I digress.
