I agree.
Much of our "History" in this Contry is more myth than fact. The everyday, mundane toils of human life is overlooked for a few glorious moments are exemplified to give a false impression of the realities, and shortcomings of people's existence.
Regardless of the real situations that the Pilgrams faced, and how they handled them, , what Thanksgiving has evolved into is what's important. It is our unique Holiday, and we celebrate it in a uniquely American fashion.
