Talk about a soap opera life. Hollande has four kids with one woman (Segolene Royal).

But then, she made the mistake of being over 50, so he dropped her while running for President and picked up a 41 year old girlfriend (Valerie Trierweiler) to be the unofficial First Lady.

But then she made the mistake of being 48, so he dropped her and picked up another 41-year old girlfriend - actress Julie Gayet - on the side.

Which leads to this marvelous quote in the article:

"Hollande said he will clarify who the first lady is before he takes a presidential trip to the United States on Feb. 11, but he wouldn't comment further."

Heh. How French.

That one Socialist writer stated that this shows that the entire concept of a "first lady" is obsolete.

To which Bill Clinton said, "why the fuck didn't I think of that".

You can't make this shit up. I guess when the Frog President comes over here, he can just introduce whoever is hanging off his arm as "the first fuck".

You know, he fancies himself as something of a maverick.

So why not make a move completely out of left-field? That would be appropriate for a socialist.

Why not announce that the new first lady is Laetitia Casta? She is only 35:



Ok, sure, she is already engaged to another guy.

But, at this point, is that really an obstacle?

Feel free to nominate your own potential First Lady of France. Perhaps we can start a pool...
