Default Third game into the season

25K short of capacity at DC home. Anybody go to the Texans loss against the Giants? That was their home opener.

Interesting photo of the Redskins playing the Colts. Redskins played the Packers yesterday. Redskins did play the Colts the 2nd week of the season and got beaten 21-9. And for whatever reason the attendance was 70% of capacity. The attendance at yesterday's Redskin's game was 82,000, 100% of capacity.

Houston attendance 71838; capacity 71,995.
Cleveland 100%
Atlanta 99%
KC 99%
Miami 100%
Minnesota 100%
Philly 100%
Carolina 98%
Jacksonville 94%
Baltimore 99%
LA 74%
Arizona 96%
Seattle 100%
Detroit 96%

So it doesn't look like attendance is hurting at NFL games unless you cherry-pick one game to try to make your point

It's down. Where did you get the attendance numbers http://www.espn.com/nfl/attendance?

Look in the stands at yesterday's Denver@Baltimore game. Doesn't look like 99% attendance to me. Granted it was raining. The numbers are being manipulated.

I am not going to look at a picture of a crowd at a particular game at a particular time and try to figure out the OFFICIAL attendance at the game. I watched the games at Houston and Seattle and the stands were packed.

I got the attendance figures by going to espn.com and checking out their game stats for each game. Here is another source of attendance figures through week 2. There were a few teams (LA Rams at 71%. Redskins at 69%. Tampa Bay at 68%. Cincinnati at 76%.) with mediocre attendance. The other teams had 90%+ attendance with most 95%-101%.

I don't know whether NFL teams report attendance figures based on tickets sold or butts in seats. Certainly NFL owners want butts in seats since they get more parking and concession revenue. But by every revenue standard, the NFL teams are all making a great deal of money. FOX just signed a contract to broadcast Thursday Night Football for 5 years at a cost of $3 billion.

Patriots value up 6% from 2016-2017. Giants up 11%. 49ers up 11%. Redskins up 4%. Jets up 10%.

According to Forbes, NFL franchises make up 29 of the top 50 most valuable sports franchises in the world.

I'm sure they are happy about the increasing value, but just like with real estate in Las Vegas, once the underlying economics deteriorate, the the franchise values go down.

Maybe that is why Trump wants a trade war, so all the other billionaire assholes will lose some money and will quit bidding franchises up for personal wealth signalling.
