I know you love your Superheros - they do have nice packages which - by what you post - you are sorely lacking.

Not even close, I simply brought up an issue which you STILL have no answer for and you kept trying to shift argument. You got your ass whipped now deal with it "snowflake"

Taking focus away from a point is the ONLY way LustyF** can debate. Why? because he has no logical points, ever.

This forum reminds me of the time I went to the Cotton Bowl to watch Michigan State get there @ss handed to them by Alabama. I am a State fan sitting right smack in the middle of Alabama territory.

If I were a very rebellious, angry with my parents 13 yr. old boy I would probably love Trump based purely upon what he says. Trump literally sounds like "Guido" or "Freddy Fingers" when he speaks. He wears his extreme narcissism upon his sleeve. That is not leadership, that is fear mongering and it is exactly how governments like USSR operate.

House and Senate have become a gateway for the 1% to hoard wealth. Republican or Democrat, they all are privilege to insider trading.
Public office has always been a gateway to legally cheat and game any system available.

Access to quality, affordable healthcare and the ability to obtain higher level education in order to find gainful employment is a right and not a privilege. Yet, government treats both as a privilege and both systems are guilty of misuse and waste of the government programs that pay a form of welfare in order to operate. Then politicians such as Trump use that inaccessibility to influence their voters into believing that with that candidate that they will provide better access to these areas once elected.

I cannot wait for 2024 when most of the pasty old white face old guard hateful, mega rich cronies all die out and are replaced with people who are right now either in college or already graduated. Check out UT Austin rolls to see how many people are getting degrees in the healthcare insurance fields. Not healthcare, insurance. You better believe they do not approve of this holding healthcare access hostage crap going on in the lobby industry.

Lobbying and Gerrymandering were instilled when the country was brand new and populations were widely scattered. It was a way for those voices to be heard and counted during elections, to ensure that they were not ignored or forgotten. They have since twisted and morphed into unfair and downright illegal maneuvers that result in suppressing voters choices. Lobbying has become outright legal bribery, and I believe the insurance lobby is the largest lobby second only to pharmaceutical.

The reason why politicians cater to the extreme religious right is because this group is the most politically active. Ignore this base and suffer the consequences in an election. This group is the group that any politician hears from constantly. Religious right will lobby and campaign and influence more than any other podium out there.

I study history. I have learned that being gay or transgender is nothing new. I have a very old victorian era photo of a man dressed a very beautiful gown, he obviously paid a huge sum of money to have what he deemed a very important photo taken. I have seen many others that are similar. I have another studio photo that is very old, of two cowboys wearing their best woolen chaps and tenderly holding hands to indicate that they were a couple in love. I also learned that public schools in the U.S. have quietly dealt with transgender minded children for as long as the photos I have existed. I had no idea of any of this until I really studied history in depth. Now that I am aware, and now that I am in this business of vice that I feel does not make me a bad person...I am extremely concerned that my government panders to extremists who want to suppress individual liberties.

Btw, if Trump is such a great president then why is it so difficult to buy a house? If I were a politician, I would want people to have access to affordable housing, education and healthcare. That is your tax base, your stability and your future. Neglect those vital areas and I don't care how high the stock market goes.....You are kowtowing to the elite rich and your tax base will suffer. No taxation without representation should be etched upon the forehead of anyone in government public office.

Cinderbella-
I appreciate your well thought out response.

My response to you per paragraph:

1. Really, you could have expressed your dislike for Trump supports in a less crappy way. I certainly am not a 13 year old. I get your tone you dont like Trump. Fair enough. With regard to leadership comment, is that really the case or is it that we have become so accustom to 8 years of an apologist presidency that when we actually try to get back to "we are a super power" and provide a lot of support for less friendly countries....

2. I believe that is spot on.

3. How is this a right? I am going to hit upon immigration for the healthcare piece first. Are you advising me that undocumented immigrants have a right to healthcare with the assumption like you and I do with insurance? No they do not. They should be provided treatment but at full price, just like I am when I am in Europe and my insurance does not work there. Education, no that isn't a right either. I am one of those pasty old white folks who grew up dirt poor. I worked my @ss off to get where I am today. I did not get subsidies or a padding when I took my tests so I could be admitted to school. What you are suggesting is a socialist scenario which does not work. Case in point - Venezuela, Canada, parts of the UK.

3. Partially agree with this one. What concerns me is the incoming replacements. These are this adults who grew up with helicopter parents, everyone gets a trophy so no feelings are hurt, nap pods, safe spaces and cry pods. While they may not approve of holding healthcare hostage, how are they going to fix it?

4. I think pretty spot on with your assessment.

5. How are they catering to the extreme religious right? I am on the right but not really religious. Could not the same thing be said of the Democrats- catering to the give me free stuff and the dreamer base?

6. You mention you study history. Outstanding. Regarding trans, gays ect. While I dont condone it, really doesn't relate to me so am a live and let live kinda guy. Now my question is, study the history of the Democratic party, study the history of Venezuela, study the history of Germany. Please dont pick and chose history based upon your agenda. Study it as a holistic whole. If you are as smart as you come across, there should be a corollary to where we are heading.

7. Why is it indeed so difficult to by a house? Let's go back to history and look at Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. While we have recovered from that, smart money management would seem that I am not going to lend to people who dont make enough to pay the mortgage. Also, I have anecdotally run into the younger generation who cant even balance their pocket book. It really isn't my or any politicians job to advise you on how to manage your money so you can buy a house.

Now I will grant you that even with my credit and wherewithal, it is still a b*tch going through the process. That part I wouldnt mind seeing cleaned up.

Looking forward to your response as I feel you put thought into your original statement(s).

Cheers
D

Thanks for the nice reply and questions, DragonX. Btw, I do agree with Trump on many issues and topics. I simply do not care for his love of chaos and his voice really grates on me. I just find him annoying. Fair enough. I was so happy when Lindsay Graham was running, I would have happily voted for him. I really admire his track record out of all the examples out there. When I say pasty faced, old white guard I am referring to Mitch McConnell, who I feel is a classic obstructionist who would sell us out to the highest bidder. As far as extremism goes, my motto is the only thing worse than an extreme right wing zealot is an extreme leftist raging liberal.

Immigration, illegal or legal will always occur. It is human nature to immigrate. That is why we have a United States. People in search of a better place to live, to rid themselves of oppression, etc. As long as other countries and governments corrupt regimes and refuse to provide living standards for the population, illegal immigration is going to be a huge problem. I also think that as a civilization, human beings have always grappled with power and control of populations and living standards. The pendulum always swings, and the power always shifts.

World population continues to grow to unimaginable size. With technology comes better health outcomes, people live longer and the birthrate skyrockets. I often wonder if we were somehow magically able to split the United States in half, with separate governments and regulations like two separate countries would somehow make some of these problems and issues easier to manage.

Anytime a government authority such as we have here in the U.S. is assigned to create a government department, the result is often chaos. The Dept. of Education and the financing of student loans has become a predatory lender and a source of welfare for college programs instead of what it was intended, a simple way to allow access to higher education.
I actually wish that there were more private foundations allowed to choose from for services. Trouble usually occurs when or if private foundations are allowed to depend upon government for funding. I wish that there were more "grass root" foundations who would be willing to step in and do what government either won't or cannot. Unfortunately, for profit has morphed into only making shareholders happy. Too much enormous wealth, privilege, power and control in the hands of too few.

Health care: All I can tell you is what I experienced personally. I am covered by the VA so I am fortunate not to have to buy private health insurance. A couple years ago, I had an undetectable stomach defect that mimicked an ulcer. The VA gave me an appointment, but my situation was much more severe than they realized. The only way to know what had happened to me was via a stomach scope, so until they finally did that I was left to suffer. I ended up in my local hospital emergency room twice before being admitted and scoped. I was left in a dirty hospital bed in a room I shared very close to another person who had pneumonia. They never bothered to clean the bathroom. An IV kept me alive and a surgeon came in and told me he was going to schedule surgery to tear open my chest in order to fix my upper stomach emergency issue. Thank God the Dallas VA picked me up in an ambulance and brought me in. The floor I was on was immaculate, the rooms were spacious and the staff was incredible. Within 15 mins. of arrival, I was cleaned up and given prep work for my upcoming emergency surgery. Instead of opening up my chest, the surgeon gave me robotic surgery with tiny incisions. I required no pain medications, and I got to go home the next day. The number one thing that I noticed at the VA was all of the foreign people who work for the VA healthcare system. I could have drove myself to the Dallas VA hospital before getting so deathly ill, but I was terrified based on all the negative reviews online that I read. I honestly assumed I would be doomed going there and that something horrible would happen to me there. I had no idea what an amazing state of the art hospital it was compared to civilian health care rationing issued by insurers. That hospital was billing the VA top dollar allowed in return for treating me so awful. The VA is run pretty much like a socialized medicine setting. No, I do not trust for profit healthcare insurance.

Sorry for rambling. I am not here to change anyone's opinion or argue. I don't have all the answers. I just want to be left alone legally to pay my taxes and mortgage. I love being self employed. I wish what I do to be self employed was not considered to be illegal. I get the nicest guys imaginable and this life has done nothing but enrich my soul when I get to make my own choices about the wonderful guys that I get to see.

Cinderbella-
You are alright in my book!!!!
I am surprised about the VA as I have the very same viewpoint based upon all the negative feedback hence why I have never gone.

Thanks for taking the time to "ramble" that out!!!!
Cheers

Honestly, I would have a whole lot less of a problem with people who support Trump if they were just a little more honest about it:

"Yes, I'm an evangelical who looks past Trump's lack of basic morality because that's just how much I care about Supreme Court judges."

"Yes, I'm a business person who looks past Trump's protectionist isolationism because that's just how much I care about tax cuts."

"I really appreciate the fact that Trump allows me to drape my xenophobia and racism in the (white) nationalist idea of "taking my country back. The fact that he calls other countries s***holes or that all Mexicans crossing the border are rapists or that there are bad people on both sides of a facist/antifacist are the kind of shoutouts I'm looking for that lets me know he knows who the REAL Americans are."

"Yes, I realize that rolling over for Donald Trump has turned my party into a spineless group of sycophants now driven by a cult of personality, a politics of division and anger, and a complete lack of real solutions to the dozen or so existential problems facing our nation and world, but you know what's more important? Having power."

Those are statements I can respect as truth. It's like gay marriage - I don't respect people who say "Bible says they're going to hell," I DO respect people who say "Bible says don't waste your seed, Bible says only sex in marriage, so I'm EQUALLY against cohabitation, divorce, premarital sex/contraception, masturbation, oral/anal, etc." At least at that point you're grasping with the real implications of your ideology and beef.
