Hey. I have to agree with the even-handed way that DM goes about his business. I've had nothing but good experiences with him.

When is the voting for "worse mod of the year"....? Not that I can think of anyone that would fit that description...

Believe it or not. While you certainly dont meet all the criteria as set forth in my OP I do recognize that you are a thoughtful mod. You definitely like to read (especially my posts) and you dont have knee jerk reactions. Those are 2 good qualities as you transition to your new role as Mod.

You come across as a Letter instead of Spirit of the Law kinda mod similar to a religious fundamentalist or constitutionalist. I will give you higher scores for being non tolerant of nuclear violations, seemingly wielding strong behind the scenes influence over your fellow mods, and also recognizing I'm not your average poster. In the forum you moderate I'm sure you get about 5 RTM's a day about SC but you seem to handle it well.

Good job WU. Next year I expect to see you in the top 5.

I agree. I've tested him in PM, told him off and excoriated him in PM in front of his fellow mods a few times and he didnt overreact. he watches closely though for the slip up which makes the banter fun. The average Joe gets upset with him because they dont understand the mind of someone like him. I've lived all over the world and I've met many WU type personalities so its nothing new to me. I appreciate his stoic aristocratic type personality. His only challenge now is burying his posting past with good fair and balanced moderation. It will take some time because he has quite the posting history but he can start trending to the + side.
