Default Obummer and his minions aren't setting a good example on their passion for action on climate change.

Obummer said that the planet was going to explode in flames if we didn't do sometime IMMEDIATELY...he's now going to light the fire. He went out and bought a HUGH mansion that puts a carbon foot print on the earth like BIG FOOT!! Has Obummer reached the point of "at a certain point you've made too much money" and my carbon foot print now will illustrate that!!

Climate activists demonstrate in Paris, Saturday, Dec.12, 2015 during the COP21, the United Nations Climate Change Conference. Several environmental and human rights groups are planning protests around Paris to call attention to populations threatened by man-made global warming and urge an end to human use of oil, gas and coal. (AP Photo/Thibault Camus)
The realization of liberal hypocrisy when it comes to their constant doomsday pushing of global warming isn’t anything new. Still, there were things that happened in the past week that perfectly illustrate a simple fact.

The Left Don’t Actually Believe What They Are Selling About Climate Change

The left doesn’t actually believe what they are selling about “climate change.”
Time and again, we are presented with situations where some of the most outspoken proponents of minimalism and global warming hysteria could actually somewhat practice what they preach. Time and again, they chose not to, placing their own luxury and comfort above the planet they assure us needs saving.

Take the Obamas. The former president and his wife have long championed the idea that climate change is not just an existential threat, but the biggest threat we face as a nation. So what are they doing for their part in combating it? If you guessed buying a $15M mansion on an island in the Atlantic, congrats.
Barack and Michelle Obama are close to buying a massive Martha’s Vineyard estate.
TMZ reports that the former president and first lady are in escrow — aka in contract to purchase — a 29-acre beachfront plot with a 6,892-square-foot main house. The Obamas were initially just renting the seven-bedroom, 8½-bathroom spread for summer 2019, but apparently loved it so much that they made an offer.
It was most recently on the market asking $14.85 million, but the Obamas are apparently paying less.
Does that sound like the something you’d do if you actually thought the sea levels were rising and that U.S. coastlines will be devastated in the coming decades?
This is also ignoring the incredible hypocrisy surrounding Obama’s statements on being rich during his presidency. At one point he opined that there’s a “certain point you’ve made enough money.” Apparently being wealthy enough to buy 29 acre beachfront estate doesn’t quite put them at that point.
Stephen Miller (the other one) made a great point on Twitter yesterday about this.

Bernie Sanders also revealed his true colors this week. After ranting about how we must end all fossil fuel usage to stop global warming at a campus event, he was cornered by a question from a student. This was how the exchange went.
“So my question is you seem adamant about climate change,” said the student.
“Yeah,” agreed Sanders.
“So what ways would you take to practice what you preach if you were to become president?” the student asked.
“I know it’s stressful, and you have to travel a lot,” he added, “you have to use fossil fuels.”
“No, I’m not gonna walk to California,” Sanders joked to laughter from the audience.
If Sanders isn’t willing to curtail his fossil fuel usage, why should the average person, who emits at a far less rate, bear the brunt? Why should a British citizen living in an 800 square foot loft have to struggle even more while the royal family is jet setting all over the world? Why should an American curb their eating of meat while Barack Obama is using more emissions in a day on his lavish estate than most do in six months?
As I said to start this piece, none of these liberal elites actually believe what they are selling and it is why they are so comfortable with their hypocrisy. They don’t truly believe Miami is going to be underwater or that airliners are destroying the earth. The climate change movement is almost exclusively about power and always has been. Even to the extent that climate change is happening, it’s almost certainly uncorrectable at this point via human action given global dynamics. But elites telling people the end is nigh is an easy way to extract more money and influence from the populace.
If these people started actually living by the standards they promote, I might listen to them. Until then, enough of this scam.

bb - DPST's are just hypocrites

AOC uses Limos for her transportation
The Soylent Green New Deal and its variations are simply a cover for a Leftist Socialist complete takeover and control of America.

1 - no clear evidence that human activity alone causes climate change - Earth has been warming since the last Ice Age 11,000 years age.

2.- No good proof that 10 yers from now is a tipping point to submit to leftist Socialism or the planet will die.
3. America alone is responsible for fixing this manufactured threat - with no change from russia, China, India, or the rest of the world. There will be no buy-in on the Soylent Green New Deal from the rest of the World
4 - no evidence or proof that the Soylent Green New Deal will be effective in combating/changing "climate warming" - and certainly will not affect the natural earth cycle.

That written - i agree we can do a lot to reduce pollution and do better with recycling and keeping plastic refuse out of the oceans. Let's cooperatively set some reasonable pollution goals and work on them.

electric cars - no proof that going to batteries - which require replacement - is less impactful on the environment. The fossil energy to produce these batteries - and the pollution of discarding and -if posible- recycling - is a major issue. No proposal i am aware of addresses those issues.

yet the Zombie DPST's follow their Kalifornia Radical socialist leaders right down the party line into total socialist control- which is really the ultimate aim of these DPST proposals!

MM's posr above confirms my thoughts - the DPST idea of the solar system is based on the "Church" version in the times of Galileo.
For the DPST's - One can search for Galileo - he was a scientist - something lost on the Narrative parroting DPST's

Then there is the green reverend Gore who bought a multi-million dollar mansion on the sea. Not too worried about climate change.

By allowing an agreement that thereby avoids a crash of the US economy, the Kochs’ stark display of blocking power in the US Congress is a stunning statement on the role of private money in policymaking today. Such control of Congress was not possible three years ago, but Citizens United changed that.
