I don't see it having any effect at all. The Canadian scene is agency dominated, especially when it comes to Canadian hobbyists. While the indy situation in Canada is pretty piss poor, it is nowhere near as bad as in Buffalo. The Americans who are real hobbyists and want to see Canuck indies will know how to circumvent the BP horse shit either with proxy servers or TOR or VPN's or whatever. Or simply using Canadian boards for info.

Agencies play a big role in gterb and sp411, but I think BP still dominates in term of volume. (I've only used an agency in Niagara once, although I suppose MPs are essentially agencies.) And the boards in Niagara are not really that useful, sadly.

I now use the Whale app on my iPhone. So far it's not cost me a cent.

I use an Android and have been using "Unblock Website VPN Browser". Found it in the "Play Store" after searching "proxy browser for android". It's free but an add pops up once on each initial start up. After disposing of it, going to the Canadian bp adds works fine.

The majority of business in Niagara is done by agencies. The majority of agency business is done by Canadians. Canadians are notoriously chicken-shit about using indies. They are still afraid to use agencies after the law change a few years back. Business is just starting to make a comeback. The Canuck boards suck, but they are at least helpful for determining which BP indies are legit. Americans are not as significant a force in the market as we would like to believe. Canadian tourists are more influential.
