Default Outrageous! Federal Prosecutors Recommend 7-9 Years For Roger Stone

For basically process crimes and having the memory of an old man. This, given, the lies Adam Schiff said on the floor of the House and Senate.

Three federal prosecutors have withdrawn from the case against longtime Donald Trump confidant Roger Stone after a decision by top Justice Department officials to disavow and undercut their own federal prosecutors by reducing the government’s recommended sentence against him.

The stunning and politically charged decision to reduce prosecutors’ recommended sentence of nine years came hours after Trump publicly criticized it, immediately raising questions about the Justice Department’s independence from political pressure.

Prosecutors from the US Attorney’s office in Washington, who are employees of the Justice Department, had said Monday that Stone should be sentenced to seven to nine years in prison after he was convicted on seven charges last year that derived from former special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, including lying to Congress and witness tampering.

That recommendation led Trump overnight Tuesday to bemoan what he called a “horrible and very unfair situation.”

“The real crimes were on the other side, as nothing happens to them. Cannot allow this miscarriage of justice!” Trump said. He later told reporter in the Oval Office that he didn’t ask the Justice Department to change the sentencing recommendation.

Newly out - DOJ disagrees on the sentence with the federal prosecutor - who reportedly resigned today over the matter.

good. if this fed prosecutor overstepped standard guidelines on what is clearly overzealous prosecution of someone closely associated with Trump (and i question his conviction to be with .. appeal Roger .. APPEAL!) like Jussie's stunt this shows that like elections .. political prosecutions over minor issues (if any) have .. wait for it .. CONSEQUENCES!!

Several times we complained about Trump associates being convicted of process crimes. Try to keep up. And on topic.

I wasn't all that surprised that the prosecutors would try to screw Stone in some way.

the sentencing recommendation was over the top for perjury. This has caused 1 prosecutor to resign, and 2 other prosecutors withdrew from the case.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were obama holdovers.

Anyone criticizing the role of the DOJ in the sentencing RECOMMENDATION by the local USDA's office staff is not familiar with the USDA "Handbook" .... there's a lot of ignorance being displayed in the media and here on Eccie. Secondly, what the fuck is a AUSA doing leaking sentencing recommendations prior to DOJ approval?

ok someone might correct this and that's ok

but wasn't there a dim senate staffer, rather high up, who was convicted of much the same and , after some sort of senator involvement, received a two month sentence, or was it two weeks?

to many, the doj, among other government departments, seem to have politically biased sorts who throw the book at one and take it ever so easy on another

witness hellary and her protective minions including the atty gen lynch herself

and then its not what they investigate at times, its what they don't investigate as well

michael cohen admitted to campaign finance violations, even though there are plenty of reasons to think what happened wasn't a crime, but still not a process crime

Don't fall for WDF's tactics. I could have told you "hypocrisy" would be his next post. It has nothing to do with this thread.

WDF can't keep up.

I assume USDA means US District Attorney. What does AUSA mean?

So, what's the USDA Handbook sentencing recommendation for process crimes? Seems real criminals are being sentenced much lightly for more violent crimes.
