Default I found out my cancer is incurable. It got me thinking. Since I'm dying, what should I do while I'm still alive? What is on your bucket list?

Well kids, as some of you may know, I have stage 4 cancer and I just found out that I'm not going to survive it. Sigh.... But I AM feeling pretty good and I will be going on a maintenance chemo after my 8th full round of chemo.

It got me thinking.....I will most likely stop treatment this summer and just live.....when I say live....live like I am dying.

Ya know....go to a ton of Pow wow's.
Visit cool National Parks
Maybe visit New Zealand one more time.
Sleep under the stars.
Tell everyone who I love that I really do love them.
Visit friends a crossed the country.
Flash my awesome tits at truckers while I'm on the road.
LOL.

So, yeah I'm not going to survive this cancer but who said that life still can't be awesome while I'm still here?

So..... what would you do to really live life if you found out you where dying?

More so, why wait until your dying?

Sell everything. Buy an RV or a Harley & see the world.

Check out Driving Miss Norma. It started as a FB page and the family ended up writing a book. Miss Norma came to the exact same crossroad. She chose to spend the remainder of her life, living, instead of dying.

Cancer sucks. But, your life does not have to suck, too. Live large. Make memories.

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

Hunter S. Thompson, The Proud Highway: Saga of a Desperate Southern Gentleman, 1955-1967

Kaylee,

You've got a wonderful spirit. One thing I would do is eat fast food every day, every meal, Donuts and Big Macs and Chocolate shakes. I would never eat a salad again.

Well I just went through this with a close family member. He couldnt do much because he got sick. Do as much as you can while you still feel good enough to do it. http://www.blisscruise.com/?gclid=EA...SAAEgIvSvD_BwE This is something I want to do. Traveling can take a lot out of you especially in an Rv break downs set up and tear down but a cruise is easy and a sex cruise is fun and easy just the way I like my women lol

I'm so sorry to hear this. I can't begin to imagine what it must be like. And as I don't even really know what to say...I'll just stick with the 'Bucket List' stuff, in no particular order:

1) Visit New Zealand - HELL YES. It's been on the top on my Bucket List forever.
2) A trip to Alaska. They have a combination Bus/Train/Cruise Tour that lasts more than 2 weeks, and pretty much takes you across the state from north to south.
3) Visit the Galapagos.
4) If you've never made it to Yellowstone, one word: GO. And plan on using several days. One day and you won't see it all.
5) Countryside road trips through Ireland and Scotland, staying at night in the small villages.
6) Skydive...just to say "I Did It".
7) Spend at least a week at the Smithsonian.
8) Since I'm a hobbyist, of course my list would include several providers who I haven't been able to see yet...

As a parting thought (and PLEASE don't take this wrong)...I would rather know I was passing, and have time to actually DO my bucket list, than to think I've got plenty of time and then go without warning and never get to finish the list. Please enjoy to the fullest all of your remaining time.

I love that bucket list!!!!!

I've ALWAYS wanted to go to Alaska.
I spent 3 months in New Zealand last year and it was AWWWWEEEESOME!
My grandma lives 3 hours from Yellow Stone so I go as much as I can.

In many ways I do consider myself lucky to know the end isn't far off because I do get that chance to say "fuck" it and just LIVE. :-)

You were the one with the special love for turtles and even did an eco tour that involved turtles, yes?

If I've got that right.. definitely visit the Gallapagos Islands.

Yup...2 magical weeks on a isolated beach in Costa Rica. No electricity, running water or medical services for hundreds of miles away. It was the hardest but most rewarding thing I've ever done.

Some people made fun of me on eccie for doing it but others stepped right up and donated and helped me make it happen.

Some of the kindest people I've met have been through eccie.

Heck, I just got MUCH needed donation today from a provider I've never met in person.

So jerks but mostly kind hearted people have helped me though this....
